I'll be honest, the main plot itself isn't anything new. I wasn't expecting much beyond an entertaining sports drama, but this turned out to be much more heartfelt than I imagined. While the overall story is fairly predictable and follows a familiar underdog formula, I have to admit that it was executed exceptionally well. While romance exists, it's never what drives the story. Instead, it's about finding the courage to keep moving forward. The drama celebrates perseverance, friendship, and the quiet determination to never give up on life.

The football team completely won me over. I didn't expect to become so invested in every member, but their friendship, teamwork, and individual growth made them impossible not to root for. Their story emphasizes that talent alone isn't enough, people thrive when they're given chance, encouragement, and someone who genuinely believes in them. I also appreciated the message about mental health. The drama reminds us that sometimes, all it takes is the right mentor, a nurturing support system, and people who continue to believe in you when you can't believe in yourself. That message is beautifully reflected in the football team's camaraderie and growth, which ultimately become the emotional heart of the drama.

Wang Fa's family deserves a special mention as the biggest green flag of all. Their unconditional support becomes the foundation that allows him to grow into the person he wants to be which was incredibly refreshing.

By the end, I realized this drama was never about winning matches. It was about finding the courage to keep moving forward, to never give up on yourself. Sometimes, success is finding the courage to stand back up, believing in yourself again, and having people beside you who refuse to let you give up. That's the victory this story celebrates the most. This is the best modern drama I've watched in 2026. Road to Success 《灿如繁星》. Lin Wanxing became the brightest star in the lives of the students and Wang Fa. So, nothing is truly worth giving up life.Also, Wang Fa was the greenest flag ever. He could have proposed to her—everything was perfect—but he truly wanted Lin Wanxing to be herself for once. He wanted her to fulfill all her own dreams before she became the wife of Wang Fa. This drama is such an empowerment to all the girls out there too. It tells us that even if there is gossip and rumors, only you yourself truly know if you have a clear conscience.Lin Wanxing said: "A broken butterfly can never fly again. We should not fear these people; we should tell them that we are not the kind they think we are.Moving on, I really love the bond between the students and the teachers. Lin Wanxing and Wang Fa raised those kids up, made them independent and happy. They were the supportive parents some of the kids never got. Lin Wanxing and Wang Fa made them realize their worth. Also, I really want to mention the students. They were really the definition of working hard towards your dream. Even when they disbanded, didn't have a coach, and everything was going bad, they never truly gave up. Somewhere deep down in their hearts, football always existed, and it was for winning every match they played. Another honorable mention in this drama is Wang Fa's family. They were so cute and heartwarming, no wonder Wang Fa is such a good man.Ok, this is long enough now. I just want to say that we as humans have the right to choose. We should choose what we like, and our parents should also support us in what we like. And no matter how bad things get, we should never give up. The future will hold something good for us, so we should look forward to it.
