Tbh the extreme hate to this things is also because the director told negative things about the orignal story and about us readers. And they also changed the many women in the story's backstory and powers which made them more powerful in the original story. So it seemed like he was misogynistic

The reason why it was rated low: they changed many of the characters backstory which is IMPORTANT for their character development. And yoo joonhyuk being a oldest dream(he is not it's kim dokja) was the second and they also basically changed many characters powers and many important plots.

It's not that but they changed the backstory and other major things to the story which is very important to the story from the starting point that's why fans are angry
