He was grooming her when she was 15 yrs old (and he was nearing 30) and then when she turned 19 he calls it dating. He will not address what happened during the grooming phase of his relationship (its too stressful for him and bad for image) and would like us to focus on dating phase as he calls it.

Legally he did not do anything wrong. Its a matter of ethics - what is right and wrong. He groomed a 15 year old, he abused her, broke her and then discarded her - emotionally and financially. There should be consequences. But like you there are many people who support paedophiles and dont think that grooming a child is wrong.

Imagine finding out your friend (as he insists) committed suicide on your birthday and you continue with your birthday party celebrations. And imagine not attending her funeral, not sending condolence's . He was just your average predator. Cold indifferent to her suffering but only concerned with his image

its difficult for a family to control a determined teenager in lover who has been groomed. I know from my experience that I did not tell me parents and kept relationships hidden. I would lie about the nature of the relationship as well.
