As of now, Chen Rui or Zhou Hai Kuo are the only options I see for SiYi. She needs someone who had a somewhat stable upbringing and a normal functioning brain. The more I watch, the less I can stand WangHe.

I hope we get to see more of Zhen and the princess courtship, I don’t want it rushed. We suffered through the cousins and Yi’s stories, I want to see a lot of the Zhen and princess cuteness.

I’ve been keeping up so for me the first half was the problem. We had to watch fl’s side of the family who so far brings nothing to the plot. It was about her 3 female cousins, her sister and her brother. The storylines were below “okay” but not mediocre to me. The editing was also annoying at times. Now that we see the palace drama with a focus on ml, it’s a bit more interesting.

Yes, there’s romance because all the sisters get married and we see them reach that point.

The drama is just starting to get really interesting around 24. The first 2 ep can give you an idea of how fl family is. Then after ep 2 til maybe 20, it’s all about her family members lives (her 3 female cousins and her big sister). Tbh it is a bit boring until about ep 22.

I would also add Yi’s storyline, unnecessary and they dragged smh.

It’s also telling on how superficial a lot of people now are. It’s all about the looks and unfortunately in real life people don’t look like in the dramas, even the actors themselves don’t look like that in real life 😅.

I think subconsciously majority are now trained (by the media) to appreciate softer looking men than “manly” ones. Look at the kpop stars now, they look softer so I think majority will lean towards that look. It’s the trend. I watched “Six Sisters” (a great drama btw) and I saw a few complains that men in there were not “eye candy” 😒. The men in there looked manly like normal everyday men but since they looked “rough” they were not “hot”.

I just started this one, I’m on ep 2 but 😮‍💨pheew this drama seems like it’ll be amazing! When she called her mother asking if she didn’t want her anymore 😭.

Seriously boring. After ep 2 (you watch those just to understand that her family is toxic), then one can skip all the ep unti 20 or so and will still be able to understand the plot of this drama. So far, her entire family is irrelevant.

Now that ml is entering the palace life, I realize how boring the first half of the drama was . i see fl family’s plots as useless. IMO we didn’t need half the drama to see the dynamics in her family.

I also thought the cousin but it will be weird especially knowing that he really loved Si first. If he ends up with the cousin, it will be like settling since he couldn’t get Si. I’m hoping he ends up with the blind princess. In the novel, did they say how she lost her sight?

I think I’m more interested in the evolution of ml alone than his love relationship with fl. I’m more interested in Zhen with the lady in the rain on today’s episode. I lost interest in the lead’s love relationship. Why? I have no idea.
