Yes! Her Feng Bao Bao is such a unique and unforgettable character and she really brought her to life. She was hands down my favorite. And not to mention, like a lot of people, I had started it for Neo Hou, but by mid series, I didn’t mind he wasn’t in it as much, as long as Bao Bao and Chulan were present. What a duo!

C dramas have been serving us green flag male leads this year and I’m living for it and loving it. Sang Yan, Yan Chi, Nan Hong( mostly green), and now Sima Jiao. Dear lord, any one of these in life will do for me. I know, I have a husband, in training of course, he has a long way to go to get there(if ever) , but I’m determined for my sons to be one of the above for their future partners( you’re welcome, in advance 😇).
I’m hoping they keep making more green flags, as they are honestly more appealing and fun to watch as they fuss over and woo their love interests. Please, C drama writers and directors, keep the green flag characters coming 🙏🏾
And we could do with more salted fish female characters. I loved Liao Tingyan. Definitely my avatar.

I loved her and Chulan in I am nobody. They look very unassuming but bring their characters to life convincingly. I was totally convinced Baobao was either a robot or puppet. That look in her eye that you couldn’t read at all, is really hard to imitate, yet she pulled it off effortlessly. She was so innocent and extremely ruthless and dangerous at the same time. And Chulan came off as dumb and weak but was very smart, calculating and strong as well, and Peng Yu Chan portrayed this exceptionally well. I became a fan of both from then on, and like the rest of the crowd, I had started it for Hou Ming Hao, but by the 10th episode, I was more enamored by these two talents.

What cringe? Honestly, she’s the most realistic female character out there, and she doesn’t come off as an immature character, which a lot of female characters do. She’s just a laid back kind of "leave me alone so I can enjoy the little things in life( sleep, eat, vacation, peace, repeat.) " Her comedic timing is perfect and she’s not trying to over do her acting. Definitely one of my favorites. I just wish they didn’t dub over her natural voice which is husky, sultry, and low tone. But we can’t get everything we wish for, so I’ll settle for this.

😄. I wish it was a sloth too. Definitely fitted her persona more.

I wish Wang Ying Lu(FL) dubbed herself. She’s got one of the most sultry soothing voices out there.

It really should be a crime for someone else to dub over Wang Ying Lu’s (FL) voice. She has one of the most sultry, husky female voices ever and I love it. So every time I’m watching, I imagine her speaking in her own voice.
I’m loving the series so far. Different kind of female( laid back, loves simple things in life like sleep, eating good food and her peace and quiet) and male( ruthless with a justifiable reason but also good to those who deserve it). A match made in heaven for sure.
The snake spirit guy, as a lot of people mentioned, is such a treat to our eyes. Love him too.
After the Coroner’s diary, now I have something to look forward to every morning. I eagerly welcome the torturous waits.

My point still stands. He’s the greenest flag male lead out there. The drama started off with the misunderstanding and the journey was to clear it up. The FL was totally broken and her reactions were totally understandable for a human being. Otherwise, she was a lovable character, for me at least.

Try The First Frost. It starts off a bit slow though, so you have to bear with it. But it’s the best slow burn, greenest flag male lead I have ever seen in a drama. He totally ties with Yan Chi in being a green flag.

Will add them on my to watch list.

I don’t mind being broke if it’s a great drama. It’s feeding our souls.

I haven’t watched the shows with Li Zan, Ming Sheng, Chai An and Jiang Xu. Which dramas are they in? I love green flag male leads who show great respect and are very protective of their girls!

Which are your favorite green flags of the year in ranking?

Mine shows 12am NY time. So I’m willing to sacrifice my sleep until this mystery is solved.

I thought so as well. If this emperor is supposed to be an impostor, then the only way he could pull it off is if he had an identical twin which only a handful of people( most of whom he had killed off, like Prince Jin, Shen Wan’s parents, Prince Rui and so on, knew about and could probably tell them apart).

I watched it till the end though I was just as lost as you are. I decided to just stop trying and just enjoy the chaos, it’s more fun this way.

I thought I might not finish it either but the last 4 episodes, all hell broke lose and there was so much chaos and fun. You might love it if you finish watching the last episodes than if you don’t .

Call me whatever you like if that makes you feel better, but this is my opinion and my stance and it doesn’t matter what you say, it won’t change.

The best one ever. Keep going and this will stick with you for a long time!
