The inclusion of the female lead felt unnecessary her role was underdeveloped, and despite being introduced as more powerful than most cultivators, her abilities were never meaningfully demonstrated beyond the early episodes. Even the romantic subplot was poorly executed, with only one love scene that lacked context or emotional depth, making it difficult to believe in their supposed relationship.
