I don't know why people say it was a bad ending. It's a little sad, but it fits the drama. I thoroughly enjoyed the drama. The sister is very beautiful. I think she looks better than the FL. The arc of the ex-bf was just a mess...but other than that, I liked it.

It’s not the same vibe at all. Prisoner of Beauty is like a comedy drama and this one is more serious toxic vibe. The villains in this drama are better. The scheming are more strategic instead of something you can see a mile away.

Hahaha....This type of character is my most hated character in dramas. They have no self awareness and always causing problems. It doesn't even make sense because of the environment she grew up in. She should have been a help to her brother instead of a burden.

Those are some very good points, but FL and SML were created together and were together for thousands of years. If she was going to love him in a romantic sense, it would have happened already (way before ML was born haha).

I've been watching C-drama for decades so it's rare for me to see something new like this. I feel like I was watching The Matrix.

They ruined this drama with the ML's sister character. She's too annoying.

I think it’s her eyes (possibly her lips too). She’s very pretty but her eyes are distractingly big with no emotions. Big eyes are a good thing in Asia but just something about her eyes that really distract me. Especially in scenes where’s she’s all afraid and her eyes are wide open with no fear.

I was telling my friend earlier that Liu Xueyi gets paired with some pretty crappy actresses this year. Unlike Liu Yuning who gets paired with some really good actresses (prisoner of beauty and now a dream within a dream). Liu Xueyi is a way better actor and better looking but it doesn’t help with he gets crappy scripts and FLs

I havent read the novel but usually the loudest voice (CP in this case) is not the true villain. The true villain always seem nice at first

I’m so mad that it’s dubbed cause his real voice is way better. I was looking forward to hearing his sexy voice

WOW...let me just start by saying that I love this drama.

The SML wanted to know what love was and he got his answer. Love can be an obsession. Love can mean letting go. He was created without emotions and he didn't understand why the FL would throw everything away for love. He wanted her by his side so they can spend eternity together. It wasn't romantic love. More like companionship. He didn't want to be alone.

I love the SML character. It adds great depth to the story. Most dramas are just mainly about romantic love. But here...for the ML, it's about his love for all beings. For the FL, it's her love for the ML and her willingness to do whatever it takes to protect what he loves which is all beings. And the SML...his love in the end is letting go of his obsession.

I'm bored of all the romantic love in dramas. It's refreshing to see that a character can have romantic love, but also love for all beings. Which was the main thing in the beginning...will the ML be able to choose between the FL or all beings? In the end, she helped him protect all beings.
