Yeah it feels like the old days playing MMRPG's (Everquest etc.) when they did a server split.. You get together with your friends and decide if you are all going to move or stay :)
This is the initial Intent statement from the drama writer/creator. It is interesting. We did not get to see a whole lot of the second mom in this drama, I wonder what happened and why they dragged that stupid marriage out so long ....

People who avoid marriage and don't want to have children because they want to have children only for themselves. Some people lament the selfish world. But the seemingly complicated conditions of marriage may be quite simple. A way to be happy for 'me' and no one else, That's what marriage is... The most selfish choice for 'me' is marriage (based on love) is marriage and childbirth. I want to convey through this drama. Marriage leads to the process of children becoming parents.
This story is also a mother's story. A spicy, salty, and bitter set of three 'modern moms'! A “Tough mom” who will stop at nothing for her children, A ''Sweet Mom,'' who holds her baby in her arms and chooses to marry a man who isn't the baby's father, and the “Spunky Mom,” who became a stepmom, step wife, and stepdaughter-in-law all in one day - and their growing up years as moms.
If this drama does get extended, it is for good reason (for the network of course). This show has been number 1 in Korea and Seoul almost every single day for its entire run. This is a network broadcast show - so ratings (In Seoul and Korea proper) are king!

I am not sure what that is all about. I am sure it is more of a drama world thing (like standing dumfounded in an intersection while a white dump truck barrells down on you). It goes right along with that "I barely know you, but you got hurt because of me, so now I need to come over to your house and take care of you" or some such nonsense. I think that it may be based on some old school foundational belief (i.e. sins of your fathers).... if so it is ramped upped 1000% for dramatic effect! just my opinion!

I am not in any way saying what he did was right or correct strategy or will even be effective. I am simply giving my opinion on his motivation at the time he did it. We will see what the fallout will be soon enough 😀

I understand your point and I do agree with you. But I understand what his thinking is on this. He sees his grandmother as the biggest threat to their relationship (he is confident he can win over GH's family - and he would if there wasnt the whole murdered dad issue hanging out there).
DS public move was two fold. He can use it to clear GH's name and will be able to use it in his battle with his grandmother. This really is not him trying to force GH into a marriage or push her into a corner. This is all about his war with his grandmother. I think that he believes that this move is the best move to keep GH safe from his grandmother.
