It’s been a while since I watched episode 4, but basically, the fabric was originally counted in meters, but Taepung and Miseon made Pyo think the numbers were in yards and since a yard is smaller than a meter, this made it look like the amount still matched, and Pyo didn’t realize that 5,000 meters were missing (50000 yards is roughly 45000 meters, so the 5000 meter shortage was hidden).Italy had said that they would only give a refund if the entire amount was returned, so because 5000 meters were missing, it broke the agreement, and Italy threatened to send the fabric back. That would have been a huge loss for Pyo, since he would have to pay the return shipping to Korea, and even if he tried to resell the fabric afterward, it probably wouldn’t cover the shipping costs. That’s why the deal Taepung and Miseon offered ends up looking better for Pyo. Even though I’m not sure about the exact price of the fabric, we can assume that whatever Taepung charged Pyo for the 5000 missing meters was still cheaper than losing the Italy refund and dealing with all the shipping costs. As for Typhoon Trading, it’s unlikely that 33mln was even close to the cost of 100% (if it were, Pyo would be taking a loss again since he’d be paying them the same amount he made), so yeah they just accepted a loss on this one
