Did we all watch the same ending?

This one said the ending was left up to interpretation? WHAT?
I forgot to check and saw that the ending was left to interpretation and almost didn't finish it. The sad ones gut me – in full disclosure I prefer not to watch them.
Seo Kang Joon's acting - those expressive eyes had me hooked! I've read where they said he was robotic - but he was supposed to be reserved and quiet and accept whatever life threw at him.
Life isn't always roses and fairytales so I can see how it might be triggering. Be mindful of that.
But the ending? It was definitive for me because of his blog post ...

I met Irene again after a long time. I waited and longed to see her again so much. But I tried to hide my feelings and stupidly turned away from her. When she ran towards me and came into my arms, she melted my frozen heart yet again. I spent days and nights blankly without being able to sleep. But I can’t believe I’m back in the past now. It’s late at night, and she has fallen asleep on my arm. She is light, and smells like the grass from a spring breeze. Guys, the scent of acacia is filling up this place again. Roger.
P.S. She woke up from her sleep and kissed me on my nose and fell asleep again with her head buried in my chest. I didn’t know kissing was such a nice thing.

Missing the ...Happy

I loved it until the end -- I'm not sure how he could have moved on so quickly .... at the expense of his own happiness once again perhaps? Their connection and love was too strong -- he chose her before and then at the end he marries someone so quickly? Nah.
I loved watching them be happy together and so all the fun things and the support they gave each other -- that's what love is about. Why do the Mothers have to be against anything that makes their child happy??? I just don't get that. Even if I didn't agree with my children's life mate choices (except for something BAD) I only want to see them happy and would support them because their happiness is what's important. Would not rewatch because of the sad ending .. and all of us Korean and Chinese drama fans know how heart breaking these are to us. I'll save that for real life ... and choose not to watch the sad ones. IMHO!
