Great show with a rushed ending

This show may have a silly premise, but the acting performances of both main and the secondary characters make up for the ridiculousness of the storyline. The people behind the show really knew how to do the clichés right, but they seem to have lost direction around episodes 7-8, for several reasons. Minor spoilers below.

* The constant misunderstandings were amusing at first, but got old when the whole 'hiding identity' had no purpose anymore. It made no sense for the main couple to keep lying to everyone after they got together, when it was obvious it would only cause more trouble for them in the long run.
* With the exception of the female lead, the remaining three main characters were extremely underdeveloped. We got no more than a glimpse into their backstories, which left me feeling unsatisfied after the finale.
* The grandfather's behaviour was inconsistent, to the point that in certain scenes he felt like a completely different character.
* While the chemistry between the main couple was top tier, I did not buy into that guy's sudden infatuation with the female lead. It just felt too out of the blue.
* This show had a lot of wasted potential—for example, we never saw the main couple's families interact, we also never learned whether their relationship was eventually accepted by the public. The femal lead's brother was also an interesting character that was reduced mostly to comic relief, we knew next to nothing about him.
* And above all—the extremely rushed ending. It's funny 'cause when I do complain about K-dramas, my issue is usually with the slow pacing, but in this case, they tried to wrap up the whole story in two episodes. A lot of things didn't make sense, like the sudden proposal (after a month of dating...?) or the time skip, squeezed into the last ten minutes of the show.

Despite all of my issues with this drama, I still had a great time watching it, and I'd definitely rewatch the first eight or so episodes. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for something light and funny to watch, some parts of this drama are truly hilarious. I just wished it was wrapped up a little bit better.
