“ There is no winning or losing. We all just live our lives.
I finished this series yesterday, and I can’t stop thinking about it. I don’t think I ever will. I feel like nothing will ever top this one; it literally changed the trajectory of my life. This is why I wanted to write a review for the first time.
This drama is meant to be felt, not just watched. So if you’re looking for something exciting that will keep you on the edge of your seat, then this is not the right choice.
It’s not a show that you can watch and forget about; you can’t just move on. This is life in its purest and rawest form.
The story is simple yet compelling in ways that are difficult to comprehend. There’s nothing going on, but everything is happening all at the same time in a captivating storytelling format.
You might think, "What is so special about a bunch of normal people living their lives?" It’s more than that. It’s heavily layered and portrays complex human emotions in a profound way that has never been done before.
The story follows Park Dong-hoon, a middle-aged man, and his two brothers. They come from a tight-knit community where everyone knows each other. We are also introduced to Lee Ji-an, a young adult whose life has been anything but easy, who works at the same company as Park Dong-hoon. Their lives intertwine in the most unexpected ways. It’s a journey about life, healing, kindness, and community.
There’s no romance in this drama but you will feel love in way that surpasses the conventional ropes of love. Human love in its natural form. A new perspective will be born.
Every element adds value to this experience. The OSTs are phenomenal, and the cinematography is stunning, mixed with a fantastic range of actors and actresses creating this masterpiece.
The acting of Lee Sun Kyun ( Park Dong Hoon) and IU ( Lee Ji An )was impossibly high-level; I forgot it was acting in the first place. The way they articulate their feelings through words, eyes, body language—down to their breathing—everything means something. I especially appreciate how, even though the script is flawless, we still get to experience other sides where nothing is said but you feel it down to your bones.
I believe everyone should at least experience it once in their life, as it would be like a comforting warm hug. You will go through emotional turmoil, but you will gain something precious from it. No words will ever do justice to this series, as it transcends digital boundaries.
I will always come back to it . It’s something that I want to accompany me growing up .
