I skipped the other stories because I saw love sick actors in this one. it’s fantastic. be honest with me, are…
I like all the stories. Beside the Sky is still my favorite. Then this one, then North, then East. Ironically it's not my order if I'm ordering the tops or bottoms. lol. For tops it'll be Fah, Artit, Hill, then Jo. Bottoms, North, Dao, Phoon, then East. Nothing matches.

Question can I start this without watching the first episodes or I have to watch the whole Forever You series??
They are connected in order but they are stand alone stories

Imma need my dude to have a full drama. Not a short drama a full 20 min per ep at least 8 episodes drama.

Everytime I see a picture of L, I just say..man this dude is not photogenic. Don't get me wrong his photos are good enough, but seriously he is so much better looking in action. It's usually the opposite most people look better in photos (that are professionally done), I have not once seen a photo of him that does his face justice. To the point during Infinite's height, I didn't get his popularity at all until I saw him on a variety show and was like ...oh....I get it. lol. I'm rambling. He is a good actor too.

Bever's eyes sparkling at Tonliew in the Yukata was a masterful piece of acting. That was so good. Can't say I wasn't a little bit disappointed in the scenes they decided to cut and the kisses not being a deep as I wanted them to be, but this is still my favorite story out of the 4. ( didn't read the Tiger one yet). Second favorite is next though.

Must admit, this isn't as satisfying as the novel BUT it's still good. So far still my favorite story

Well, I think that if a Taiwan production company, which is a part of China, can do it while skirting around censorship…
Taiwan and Hong Kong do not have the same restrictions as China Mainland. They have their own government and laws. It's complicated. That's why you can have same sex marriage in Taiwan

oh right, so Masaji Kitano & Co of Unit 731 had no choice but conduct vivisection on people from baby to old…
Or its "I respect my grandfather, he sacrificed his morals, dignity, and life, just so our regime government doesn't massacre us as well" War crimes done by major powers isn't new. You think Any European country or America or China isn't guilty of mass genocide? I laugh at this ridiculousness. And prior to the 50's most men were conscripted to the military, ie by force. Especially in places like Japan, China, and Korea. I am not from Europe. Koreans being angry at the Japanese imperialism and government, I would say nothing. But generalizing the people I would never get behind. For the most part the people themselves are innocent. Except those in power and the wealthy, I judge the people themselves as individuals. And yes even the Nazi soldiers can be considered victims of their regime, like they had a choice. It's either fight and join the cause or mass execution. I still say F Nazis, but would I be angry if a Germans respects their military men? Nope, I get it. You can have both feelings. One does not negate the other.

Of course the rich and government don't feel guilty. that was the point of my original statement. But the people do and still respect the military men. You can do both and I am sure it's the same in Japan. I have yet to see a government that isn't corrupted. The fact that America isn't at the top of the list of the most corrupted country list, still baffles me and shows that the truly corrupted don't get labeled as such. But N E way the point is that people sacrificed in war or to war are victims in general. And the winners gets to decide if the losers should be held accountable to the atrocities committed in war.

But he didn't do any of that. He simple paid respect to the sacrifice of the soldiers. Japan feels guilty just like America feels guilty about the middle east. The people are the ones that die and feel guilt, while the rich and government honestly doesn't care. Like I said, anger is directed at the wrong people

Did you completely miss the part where I said the atrocities done by certain military men are a different matter? Personally cause I know a little history, most of the men in Japan were force service and forced compliance. Even the kamikaze men were force to do it otherwise their whole families would be executed or exiled or ostracized. Meanwhile there families were often starved cause no money and was worse when they actually died because military benefits from the decease was not that great. So Japanese people sympathizing with their own people does not equal uncountability and indifference to the atrocities. These feelings can both exist. And while we are on the topic, why do people act like Japan and Germany were the only ones that did human experiments and traffic women. Most of the time it's not even because of war, they do it without excuse. South Korea specifically had a huge trafficking problem with south asian women, not sure if it's still a thing cause I don't keep up with it. But what they did to those women was no worse then what Japan did to Korea. Again, when it comes to war, no one wins except the rich. And I mean that literally.
Lily Alice Dec 26, 2025
My problem with stuff like this is, while yes Koreans were victims of the war....so were the Japanese. People often forget that war is the decisions of the rich and government and not the people. While I am not being a Japanese apologist, their own people being respectful of the people sacrificed in war isn't crazy or disrespectful to Koreans. Just like how Koreans are forced to serve, so were the Japanese and resistance is futile. Now the atrocities done by certain military men during the war is a whole different matter though. While I don't think Korean reactions are overly sensitive I do think they are misguided to the wrong person. No one wins in war except the rich.

Wish the acting was better, but the chemistry did make up for it. It's just that this type of story needed delicate and good acting to pull it off even better. But this was solid surprisingly easy watch. The plot was comprehensive and it made sense for their age range. Though the timeline was confusing cause they gave very little indication of the time moving forward. Solid 8 drama.

You need to go back and watch old BL. Almost all of them were messy and we rarely got a happy ending. from 2000…
I think the newer ones have better master pieces but there are a lot more options mean there are a lot of not good ones as well. Have you watch
Bangkok Love Story (this one made me over the non happy endings to this day, it's fantastic though),
My Bromance (with Fluke),
Like Love,
Fujimi Orchestra,
No Regret,
The Takumi-kun Series,
Eternal Summer,
Ai no Kotodama,
Boy's Love
Formula 17
Happy Together (with Leslie Cheung)
Farewell My Concubine
Taiikukan Baby
Amphetamine
Most of these are very bittersweet...This list brought out my ptsd. But by no means are any of these bad. I just prefer happy endings. I think only a couple of these are happy. There is more that I watched but trust me if you search pre 2014 it's pretty easy to come across sad ending cause you know homophobia and the idea that being gay doesn't bring happiness. I still avoid sad ending like the plague, but HiStory 3 got me (it was fantastic too though)

I can not stress this enough, but Prem is such a good actor. I don't think people realize how nuance and on point his acting is. Not one of his characters feel like the same person. And once again, he is really good and so underrated. I put him up there with First, Khao, Boom, and Pond. I don't like Vampire dramas/movies in general but I am here for Boun/Prem. They've only had one failed project imo so I was hopeful. And this story is actually interest's me. I even might watch it weekly when I usually wait til series are completed. As of now I am impress with Boun if he wrote this. It's a strong start, though I don't want to speak too soon and reserve judgement.
