I love the scene where they talk before bed, like a deep conversation that only a married couple would have. "What's your dream" "what do I want to do?" Telling it to your partner makes this part feel real and sincere, and this scene gives me the impression that their distance is no longer that far.
According to Maoyan, Mo Li just passed 200M effective views across all platforms & Congrats to #BaiLu, #ChengLei, and the whole team of #TheFirstJasmine! ๐๐ฅณ
I just read a comment on douyin that said 'you cured Mo Xiuyao's leg, if you guys fight you can't hold his wheelchair anymore with a fan stick like before.' And somebody said 'It's okay, Yeli can use Feng Zhiyao's method to silence Mo Xiuyao. It's also worth a try and we'll see the results.' ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ
https://x.com/BaiLuIntrnlFans/status/2065888698713919832?s=20 I haven't gotten to this ep yet, but I really want to ask Yeli, aren't you tired? just cry when you have to cry. I've said before that her eyes are full of fatigue and suffering. When she smiles, they don't reach her eyes, and when her eyes cry, she holds them back
2 broken souls who found a home in each other. ๐ญbut I said the same about MJL. His only intentions is on Ye…
yeah i like that we all understand everyone's pov here and don't blame one character too much, we know everyone's burden and know why they act the way they do
YELI She lived for others, never for herself. None of her goals were for herself. Repaying the debts Mo Xiuwen and her mother owed, avenging Mount Lishan, and achieving the dreams her fallen senior brother couldn't achieve. Her eyes always showed pain, but she couldn't ask anyone for help. Her smiles never reached her eyes, and her tears were always held back.
It made sense that love never crossed her mind. She was too busy. Her burdens were too heavy, she carried all the responsibility of the incident as her own. Her wounds were too many, she hadn't healed and needed help. But that didn't mean she didn't feel the love; she just didn't realize it.
MO XIUYAO He experienced so much and lost so much all at once. His glory was snatched away, his family was accused of wrongdoing, and his downfall attracted those vicious people to further torment him. His hope for recovery was dashed, but he didn't give up on finding out who was behind the scheme to ruin his family's reputation.
He'd fallen so far, yet he refused to accept pity. His heart had hardened, accustomed to people's ridicule, yet unfamiliar with Ye Li's tenderness. He'd been lonely for too long, feeling confused by someone coming to him and wanting to be with him.
Ye Li arrived like a blessing in disguise after a long drought. He'd been drowning in quicksand, suddenly pulled out by her to continue living. His usually calm expression was always disrupted by Ye Li's presence. Ye Li, who was so lively, attracted everyone around her and ultimately earned a place in Mo Xiuyao's heart.
MO JINGLI I think his character is better written here than in the book. Many things happened to him too so i get it. His subordinates wanted him to take revenge and ascend the throne, but he himself didn't think of revenge because his first thought was Ye Li.
One thing about Mo Jingli is that he always pitied himself first. Unlike Mo Xiuyao, who disliked pity and felt angry at his own powerlessness, Mo Jingli used his powerlessness as a way out to be forgiven by Ye Li.
He also wasn't like Yeli, who bore the burden of Mount Lishan and sought revenge. Mo Jingli sought revenge because his subordinates told him so. His ambition for the throne was also due to his obsession with Yeli, not because his family had died, not because his power had been usurped, nor because of his responsibility as the son of the previous crown prince. But because now that Yeli couldn't be achieved without power, he ultimately aspired to the throne.
Weird, this was the first time I felt that way while watching a drama lol.
