Reminded me of: Justice can changes form depending on which side you stand on.
My first detective drama. My opinion isn't based solely on being a BaiLu fan; there are a few highlights I'd like to mention.I was captivated by the concept of how this drama shows the various forms of oppression women can take. How easily the mistakes of those in power can be covered up and manipulated. How evil can be disguised in various forms. How the poor seek revenge by any means, death or even... if it means being evil.
It reminded me of: Justice changes form depending on which side you stand on.
My favorite case is "Flowers on the Wall," where the truth is revealed even in unimaginable ways. It also moved me how the women work together to find a solution. Then there's "Bloody Talent," which highlights gender inequality. And "Auspicious Time Secret," which horrified me about how much women suffer, and delighted me with a father's revenge for his daughter.
FL is cold-hearted, ready to die, quick-thinking, has a bad temper, is skilled at martial arts, and knows medicine. On the other hand, there's ML, who is gentle, intelligent, mature, yearning, serious, and somewhat innocent. I can describe them as Alpha Woman x Omega Man. I love this dynamic.
The cinematography. I love the color grading and texture of this drama. Because it's set in the Tang Dynasty, considered the most prosperous era, the costumes, hair ornaments, dress styles, and celebratory feasts scream luxury.
The plot isn't too heavy.. no, I mean the plot is made in such a way that it doesn't feel too heavy for me so it's easy to understand the flow, but the theme they raise is very dark because if you think about it, there are still many similar cases in the real world and most of them are not exposed.
I always need a break every time a case is finally closed and postpones the next case, the backstory of each case drains my emotions from anger to crying then to contemplation. Enjoyed the plot twists and I was often left stunned by the various cunning murder methods. The plot is fast-paced, each case makes sense and is interconnected.
Oh, also I really liked the opening and closing. Although I wanted to skip them and get straight to the case, I couldn't.

this is a spiritual lover
Watching this is like trying to pull a tangled thread into a proper spool. It's like you're picking up tangled threads that frustrate, confuse and annoy you but the condition is you have to be patient and thorough if you want to untangle them. I've seen many who gave up because of their impatience.If you don't enjoy the feeling I'm describing then it's hard for you to finish this drama because it's not your type.

I enjoyed trying to untangle this thread, I enjoyed every hardship, struggle, pain, misunderstanding, confusion, anger, revenge, love, characters and life lessons that were conveyed indirectly.
Our two main actors worked very well together, they built chemistry, promoted as best they could, the acting was also amazing especially their eyes showed the right emotions. The costumes were beautiful as well as the make up and hairstyle, I love the OST that Bailu sang, I also enjoyed the two songs that Xiaoxi sang with Bailu and he bought the copyright.
Bailu, once again I salute and take my hat off to your acting which is very good at showing the feelings of your character. Portraiting Motherhood, crying in pain, crying in loss, deep hatred, pretending to be a sweet girl, a very broad love for mankind, and more. I remember hating her husband, crying in tears when she cried, laughing at her cuteness, truly a talented actor.
Xiaoxi, at first I didn't have high expectations for him like I did for Bailu cause i didn't follow him, but he really played his character very well. I was carried away by him, I remember being annoyed at the beginning and a few ep, helpless at his cuteness, and also momentarily moved by his love for his wife. He is also a great actor.
I had a great time sharing opinions, discussing and guessing with other viewers here about the characters and plot, I also enjoyed sharing funny videos and hot information about this drama. Especially the 10,000 heat index moment.

their chemistry
spoiler alert!I like the concept of searching for emotions for emotionless stones in various worlds, every emotion needs to sacrifice someone it makes me cry every time it happens because in their journey I feel the bond of friendship between them that makes me reluctant to lose them one by one.
No wonder because behind the camera they have fun, very close and look comfortable with each other. Playing around with each other, laughing, eating together and even celebrating the new year together like family
Also, the OST is really good! all of them are good and I even put them all on my playlist.

Showing women's empowerment
It's incredibly engaging to watch. Each episode keeps you hooked and curious about the problem, why that person did such a terrible thing, who the mastermind is, and other secrets.The two main characters have great chemistry and the acting is exceptionally good. I initially only tried watching it because the two main characters were visually appealing, but the storyline and production really captivated me.
I personally really enjoyed it. This drama showcases the strength of women, and I was deeply touched by the hardships women faced, especially in an era when women were severely oppressed and found it difficult to speak up. Love it, overall, this drama is a 10/10.

Hmm, where should I begin? I can say that this drama is what I imagined and wanted. It's like a comfort drama that I'd watch over and over again if I want to, i even memorize some of their lines now.Their pure feelings, sincere intentions, and serious commitment are captivating, and their awkward and clumsy ways make me feel a sense of love and sweetness. I love their healthy and mature relationship, full of care and trust for one another. Their chemistry is also perfect.
The pace is slow yet comfortable, so I never felt bored. I love their poetic lines.

It's been a long time since I finally watched a modern drama again
It's been a long time since I finally watched a modern drama again, as I'm usually consumed with historical and xianxia dramas. The drama clicked with me immediately when I tried watching episode 1. All of FL's struggles were similar yet different from mine, making her struggles feel like they hit me too.I even wished there was a place like that where I could role-play as someone else for real, just for a little while.
With each episode that followed, I realized that my behavior, from always isolating myself to reading novels, comics, and watching all sorts of dramas, series, films, and anime with unrealistic genres, actually showed my desire to escape reality.
I really enjoyed this drama. The cinematography was excellent, the various angles were meticulous, the pacing was smooth and fast, and the plot was engaging, blending reality and games in a way that felt truly refreshing. I even finished this drama in two days without realizing it.

This drama is very well packaged, the story is very touching and gives moral values in a unique way. The world system of the novel in this story is very funny and there are many cute and beautiful characters, their characters are very different and interesting so I felt comfortable watching it without feeling and felt that each episode was very fast.The costumes, makeup, and visual effects were also excellent and pleasing to the eye. There was nothing lacking in the production. I was satisfied because I hadn't expected it to be this good at first.
The cast is also well chosen, I really like the chemistry of each character and the theme of friendship with a touch of humor makes me enjoy this story as a plus point for me

this is my taste
Putting aside the theme of rebirth I am very satisfied with the plot of this drama from its politics, add the emperor's POV, the mystery behind the case, the plot twist and others are perfect for me. The chemistry between our two main characters is also felt to the point of understanding each other without words and their closeness always makes me blush.I am also amazed by the female protagonist who is wise, brilliant in planning, graceful, intelligent, kind and a reliable businesswoman. Especially she has a strong stance so that she is not easily controlled or easily shaken by other people's words.
At first I just tried watching it without any expectations, but this turned out to be the best historical drama I've ever watched so far.
