the best revenge story i've ever seen!!
the revenge plot was concluded so masterfully. every loose end was tied up, and dong eun executed everything in such a way that none of the bullies met their downfalls at her hands directly. that was my favorite part- she planned everything so well that by the end, they were taking each other down. each of them got exactly what they deserved and it was SO enjoyable to watch. i liked that the writers took care to include that dong eun's revenge didn't magically erase her trauma. she remained a complex character with complex feelings, which felt more realistic. in the same vein, i like that the show included more mundane moments, such as her interactions with yeo-jeong and mrs. kang. i think part of the reason that the viewer can continually sympathize with dong eun throughout her revenge plan (aside from the horrific bullying she went through) is because despite her cold and calculating demeanor, we're continually reminded of her emotions and humanity. also, every single actor did an incredible job. i particularly enjoyed every single time that park sunghoon said shibal. Was this review helpful to you?

it may not be for everyone, but it is DEFINITELY for me
i had SO much fun watching this show. it struck a good balance between comedy and suspense and i was never bored. the plot moved at a breakneck speed which may be off putting to some, but i really enjoyed it. i found all of the main characters compelling and was super invested in their stories. this show sits squarely in the middle of all of my favorite genres and includes several of my favorite actors, which is yet another reason that i love it so dearly. my main critique is that it ended super abruptly, which makes sense for how fast the plot was moving but still felt dissatisfying. after such a long struggle trying to prove the guilt of the big bad yun-ho, he was arrested and convicted off screen? after they went through like 8 episodes going after the drug people, they casually arrest the kingpin and never mention her drug empire again? after they establish k's feelings for hui-gyeom and have suyeol kiss her, they never go anywhere with either relationship? i think my frustration with the ending is a testament to just how much i loved this show. it wasn't perfect, but it was so much fun to watch! Was this review helpful to you?
