Lost My Week to Blossom

OMG, where have I been in 2024 that I'm only finding out about this drama now? Lately, I've been kinda over those super sad, conflict-heavy dramas because my real life is already a mess, so I prefer light, no-brainer shows. But Blossom is different, I was hooked and absolutely obsessed. Even though Blossom is pretty melancholic and its conflicts can be super frustrating, for some reason, it's actually that sad vibe that kept me glued to it. I was so addicted, I finished 34 episodes in less than a week!
Episode 1 had such a deep impact and was genuinely engaging, making you want to stay attached to this drama. The vibe is seriously heartbreaking: the ML and FL meet on a snowy night, both having just been betrayed and gravely ill. And the way they 'die' in Ep 1? To me, it wasn't just sad, it was romantic (first time I've ever felt a death scene was romantic 😅).
Honestly, the theme itself is pretty standard – rebirth and a second chance to fix fate after rebirth. There have been so many C-dramas lately using this kind of plot. But the real strength here is the chemistry between Song Mo and Dhou Zhao. Li Yunrui and Meng Ziyi's acting, bringing Song Mo and Dhou Zhao to life, was absolutely insane. I love Song Mo's character, who's soft-spoken but still clearly manly. And Dhou Zhao's character is smart and strong, but also has a gentle, motherly side. Both Song Mo and Dhou Zhao are so calm in their demeanor, with really mature vibes, which might be why I connected with them so much. To top it off, the cinematography is super aesthetic, with dramatic slow-motion shots. Seriously, this drama is the absolute best!
