I only knew Youku’s promo mag usually come out during filming or right after, so I don’t think they’ll release another magazine promo again. Yk has never been great at promoting compared to Tencent and iQIYI, tencent goes all out with hype, teasers and mini-events and iQIYI drops sneak peeks and bts clips constantly but Youku..🤦♀️

No, there’s no cross-dressing plot and the FL never pretended to be a boy. She was raised by her grandpa so she naturally grew up wearing more practical, boyish clothes. She’s always been aware that she’s a girl and she never tried to hide or change that, it’s just that her upbringing made her more tomboyish in style and behavior. Instead of following the usual “disguise as a boy” trope, her character feels more natural and refreshing, since her toughness and independence come from the way she was raised rather than from pretending to be someone she’s not.

Yesss, you got it right😅 I think all the cast are preparing for dubbing now, but..you know how it goes, probably still lots of tweaks with special effects, sound mixing and color grading before everything is perfect. After that, it goes through censorship checks and then they finally get the broadcast license.
