The Fluffiest of fluffs that you needed!

I thought i am beyond these fluffy dramas but apparently not. There is just something about a softy CEO ML with the badass FL. Also the best part is even the supporting characters were so much fun like not a single annoying side part. I was actually invested in the female friendships. There is this scene where the ML's mother is comforting FL's step sister lol yeah that happens. Just that converstation felt so genuine for some reason that scene has just stuck with me. The writers have really tried to show the female bonds, they all seem like a lived characters.
Now on to the part that needed improvement. What the hell was up with the editing? Was the editor just trying to sabotage the drama? I guess the director should get some blame as well cause the vision is just messy. Its saving grace are the characters honestly.
Also the ML seemed more comfortable with the material and the acting in general than the FL. I am not saying she was bad but the ML was just that good. But they have the best bickering dynamic which is refreshing and it stays till the end which makes is even better.
One irk i had with the story is that * spoiler*
i wanted the FL to ask the ML to get married cause that would have given such a full circle moment for her character growth. But the one we got is actually super cute too.
Watch it when you just need some fluff and relax.

Having an ambitious FL and a lot of corporate talks isn't a storyline!

The story started really strong! The FL is not perfect she is competetive, over achiever who is not going to take shit! And has a dark back story that drives her. Also the way ML comes to her life is very organic but thats it. There is no depth to the ML, he just exists for that one plot and is supposed to be hardworking and successful. I get that its 20 ep but we could still get some more back story for the ML and FL just to get an unerstanding of why they push themselves so hard in a cut throat profession of corportate consulting. Just cause a lot of technical terms and professional mumbo jumbo was used doesnt justify the lack of an actual story.
The actress for the FL has so much range she is phenomenal, such a delight to watch. Also you can tell the ML actor is good but this is definately not a role for him. He looked out of place and i never bought in the vibe of him being this cutthroat profession. He seemed to be too good natured,i dont even know how to explain. Also the chemistry between the ML and FL was there but never explored. I get romance was not the main focus so then just remove it! But why do this half ass thing when there was so much potential. ML got insecured, female lead had some abandonment issue that could have been explored, such a waste of potential. Also the ML started acting different to his character after ep 16 just to add some thing to the romance plot!
The editing and the pacing was good. Didnt care for any of the side characters or the side plots. Also didnt care for how much this drama pushes the concept of overworking to the point of burn out.
I definately wont be recommending this drama or rewatching it not because its bad just cause its all style over substance. They got the work part but no drama in a work drama!

ML and Supporting Cast Shine !While everything else tries to drag it down!

First of all i am a fan of the FL actress so i was really looking forward for this drama. This pairing felt really interesting as the ML actor is really known for his expressions but i was really worried they would do him dirty with a weirdly styled wig * the dreaded side swept bangs* but fortunately for us they got the wig so right this time, his visual and acting is such a delightful surprise that i would tell you to give it a chance just based on that lol. Sadly the FL's acting left much to be desired. It just felt like she was struggling to show the complex personality of the protagonist. It could also be a direction issue. The supporting cast really pulled it through and made the viewing enjoyable.
On to the story now, it started with this eerie vibe with the look of the drama but the story always struggled catching up to it. I am not saying the story is not engaging but just saying its not engaging enough and might I say a little bit rushed. Maybe its the editing too cause the parts of the story are not let to just sit there and are rushed. So for people who like fast paced stories will definately enjoy this one. I really like the type of story telling where they let the viewer decipher the story as it moves but in this one the subtle hints were just messy and while watching , it always felt like being dropped in the middle of the story. I just wished there were more subtle acting and visual cues. Cause the acting from everyone could have pulled it off as even the supporting cast was phenomenal. One such example is SL falling for the FL, yes we can argue it was love at first sight but thats stretching it cause there were no aha this is love at first sight moment! Much of the drama misses this type of visual cues or even if the cue is present then the audience are not given enough time to process it as it is rushed.
The drama is based on historical fictional setting so it is liberal with the traditional etiquettes but since it is still a historical drama the frequent use of modern etiquettes feels zarring and pulls you out of the story when you notice something. Like multiple times the ML just grabs FL infront of her entire family and it just doesnt have the impact the the production is going for instead it just breaks the immersion for audiences of a historical period drama watchers. Its not a requirement to strictly follow the social etiquettes, interpersonal boundaries as many historical dramas do take liberties but in this drama the traditional ones are replaced by modern ones maybe thats why many scenes feel off.
Okay now the part that i really could have done without, what is going on with the constant weird BGM it is getting on my nerve cause its making the scene goofy. The actors are doing good, story is going fine the scene is really beautifully shot and then you hear this grating BGM. Could be just a me problem too and it didnt make me stop watching the show but seriously could have done without it. With the vibe that the acting, directing and even story is going for, the scene could have just dialogues with silence to build tension.
I recommend this show for the ML's and supporting character's acting, and it is beautifully shot also the story doesnot drag(which honestly is not good for this production). But other than that I wont be going out of my way to recommend it or rewatch it. The frustrating part is the story had so much potential and it is such a visually appealing show.

The actors really made it worth a watch!

Not even gonna sugar coat anything, the story was generic but it did have its charm. The saving grace of this show was the castinhg cause man! They casted everyone so well all three leads are amazing i mean they actually make the crappy writing look better. Even the supporting actors were so good.
The ML is just so good at portraying his part that it never felt cringe same with the FL.
Would have loved to see more of their dating era and interactions but its just 12 ep so we get what we get.
I wont recommend this show. But would not say it is not worth watching either.

The twist was the worst.

I was actually enjoying the show. The acting and the story was going good as well. I was telling myseld hey this is actually good. I liked how the FL was her own person she was not the person from the ML's past and I actually felt like woah a FL who finally knows who she is and is actually gonna stand on business. But then everything got ruined cause. *spoilers* female lead was faking it. As soon as that plot twist happened and it actually happens quiet early maybe around ep 11- ep 12. I just could not with this drama. It became just another basic story of the same lovers fate cycle whatever.

Everytime i rewatch it , i like it even more!

First of all if you are thinking of watching it just watch it already!
The way the story is set up and the shots everything is so intentional and well aligned. I dont even know how to explain it. Every shot, every small movement feels so intentional. The story itself feels like it was actually written by a writer who loves this genre and actually enjoys writing a fantasy historical drama. Nothing is forced or dragged, the pacing is so well done. And the revenge actually feels earned it is not rushed or done in a way like on your face haha. Its more like both the leads have understood that they have planned and still there are things that are going wrong too but still they are gonna trust the process.
And man what a chemistry! I am not a huge fan of the Fl actress but her with the ML just butterflies in my stomach everytime they were on screen. You will instantly root for them cause they both feel like such real people. And the characters are so well written both of them are smart. Not in a forced yeah main character energy kind of way but like genuine real people type of way.
There are so many scenes from this drama that will always stay with me. I didnt understand much about female gaze in a show till i watched this drama it is actually such a femal gaze thing now i get it.

A good balance of everything!

Honestly, the humor so well done there are couple of scenes which will live rent free in my mind. The ML is so adorable yet the action is done so well too. And the FL is very likeable on paper some scenes can sound cringey but her delivery is so good you just cant stop smiling. Also the chemistry between the ML and FL is done really well. I was also little worried about the being related plot but it provided lot of hilarious moments. The only complain i have is how the reveal of actual relative was handeled it is a *spoiler* so i wont talk about it. But it was very rushed and way way way too late. They could have gradually done it on earlier episode atleast let the audience catch it earlier on. That would have made the show so much better.
Overall, i still recommend it.
