Great Cast - Would love to see them together in another kdrama.

Hi all, so firstly I'm not a huge fan of idol centric kdramas but I gave this one a try just and purely for Ji Sung. I didn't even research about this kdrama before starting it and just blindly followed Ji Sung haha. I was pretty surprised after I started watching it. because the whole cast is a costly and great Cast. The reason I said I don't like the Idol centre dramas in the beginning is because they usually start well but get really long and boring to the end with some unnecessary plots. I would say it was the same with this kdrama as well. i would give a solid 10 to this one. It started well, with Ji Sung being the rude guy and he changes eventually. The subplots are great. I was hoping to get more of Kyle's story. 18 episodes were literally unnecessary as they did not even show the stories properly. Yeon Soo and Min Joo's story could've ended differently atleast with them starting to date each other. The drama felt incomplete even with 18 episodes. I don't really understand why some writers turn the most villainistic persons into the good one's right after the main leads forgive them. i mean Lee Ji Yong was definitely not good person kim joo han neither. Over all, the kdrama was funny and would recommend it if you want to have a good laugh and want to watch Ji Sung for like 18 hours.

Revolves around a single character.

I love watching melodramas. And I watched thirty because it is a melodrama and also Son Ye Jin was there.
Firstly the actors performance was top notch.
Son Ye Jin - whenever she cries it aches my heart in the drama.
The couples had great chemistry and I think this drama has some underrated green flag men.
Seon Woo was such a green flag. I some times felt bad for him. I understand cha mi jo was not happy or in a mood to date but seon Woo was putting alot of efforts into the relationship. They never got to be a normal happy couple. I thought cha mi joo could've treated him better. Though she was not caring much for him seon Woo was always there for her. The way he hugged at the restaurant when cha mi joo cries after meeting her biological mother was one of the cutest moments.
At first I did not like chan you's boyfriend. I thought he was just cheating on her, but later when we got to know that he was raising his son though he wasn't his son I felt really bad for him. The way he did not leave his girlfriend at all even after she dies broke me.
Although the actors were great, I felt the drama could've been better. Because though the drama is about 3 best friends it only revolved around cha mi joo and her bestie who is dying. I felt very bad for Jang joo hee. She was like third wheel between them. She even informed them that she isn't liking how things are going. She was the last person to know anything. She wasn't even given much importance. I know they helped her when her mother was hospitalized but they could've treated her better atleast when she said that she's feeling ignored. She tried her best to do everything for her friends. They could've showed less of cha mi joo's character because literally the whole series was revolving around her. The ending felt open. They could've showed more of chan you's boyfriend. And even at the end joo hee was a third wheel. I felt bad for her to the end.

Could've been better.

Okay so I recently completed Queen Woo. I am a huge huge fan of Ji Chang Wook. So he is the only reason for me to watch this drama. And expected his acting was crazy. His acting during the war scene was soo good and I thought he deserves better scripts and directors. Though many did not like his previous works I was able to watch them just for JCW. But even he couldn't save this drama..tbh the story was good but the way the director portrayed those characters was very poor. The female lead's face was dead. There are many female actors out there who could've done a great job in this role. And I agree with the others who said the nudity and sex scenes were unnecessary. Like they were not at all needed in those scenes. And I seriously did not want to see JCW in such a scene. The ending was so open and there is no expectation for season 2 either. It could've been a straight 12-14 episodes drama with JCW being alive for a few more episodes, with better side actors and with a better female lead and with no nudity. If you are a JCW fan and you watched all of his dramas and you have nothing of his works to watch anymore you can watch Queen Woo.
