romance done WRONG!
this show was rubbish, long and boring, ml's had no backbone, sad attempt of creating a visually appealing realistic romance drama! the only good thing going on were the side characters and ml's visuals. i get what the drama was trying to portray but My GOD! did they make it so cringe that i couldn't physically watch it anymore. the drama had aesthetic vibes and i don't hate any actors but lets be fr the drama only got famous because of song kangs butterfly tattoo and han so hee. If you want to see this drama better go watch the japanese version where they don't take forever to move on with the plot.Was this review helpful to you?
revenge drama done RIGHT with actually morally grey characters, sisterhood and strong chemistry!
The story is fast paced and doesn't drag too much and if you loved 'The Double' like me, trust me you are in for a treat. All characters are morally gray and not goody two shoes with actual secretive motives and makes you keep guessing their next moves. Both the main leads have insane chemistry to my surprise and are not to be taken lightly. And as much as the concept of an abandoned daughter pursuing revenge is cliche, this drama does right with strong fl and ml who don't take shit for any bullshit and actively strive to put the villains in their places. Not to mention the burning tension ASFHGSSHSHThe schemes in this drama will reel you in and want for more. I must admit the first two episodes seem a little to boring to me but that was because i have watched far too many revenge based dramas that the suffering of the fl didnt make feel suprised but do i feel bad for her? YES I DO! Gurl went through hell for nothing and her history is all the more reason you will want her to just tear everyone apart.
Also the bond between her and chai jing is super adorable and the sisterhood is soo beautiful to watch. Sometimes you can't help but ships those two >_<
Therefore I highly reccomed you to watch this and the male lead reminds me of Duke SU (my husband ) and Ling Buyi who would protect their girls till the worlds end.

Waste of My Time and Boring
So I recently watched WIFTY cuz of all the hype and yung kai blue song and all I can say is how i wished to drop this drama and 2x + 10sec the 2nd half cuz of how boring and dragging it got, i think this was clearly not meant for me and the target demographic was teenage girls idk cuz this didnt hit any points for me at all.The fl was likeable at first but she got annoying later like gurl develop a some personality except for making ranran ur whole personality and lurang was just bearable watch too. Also women in cdrama idk why they act so childish just irks me off like NO, no women irl does this esp at workspace bfr. AND that couple video at ppt shown was so cringe like i am sorry no one reacts like that or cheers for u in a uni if ur couple video just randomly just starts playing off, the only thing u'r getting are side eyes and grumbles.
Then came the second leads who's relationship was dragged down to the core and done so poorly like wdym the ones that had some personality got only 2 ep of screentime as a couple and the ones who had been dating for like the past 18 episodes are still getting more screentime as a couple. Honestly i grew tired of watching the mls.
LASTLY, THE ONLY GOOD THING ABOUT THIS DRAMA WAS GUAN FANG. HIS LORE WAS GOOD AND WAS AN ACTUAL INTERESTING CHARACTER FOR ME. PLUS HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH HIS GRANDMA WAS SO SWEET. AND I WAS LITERALLY WAITING FOR SOME KIND OF ROMANCE FOR HIM, LIKE YOU TELLING ME 6 YRS AFTER SCHOOL THEY STILL COULDNT GIVE A HINT OF HIS ROMANCE STARTING, AT LAST A 6 SEC CLIP AT THE END OF DRAMA COULD SUFFICE TOO BUT NO THE LEADS HAD TO GET EVEN THAT. HE WAS MY FAV CHARACTER AND I ENJOYED EVERY SEC OF HIS SCREENTIME.
ANYWAYS the drama was visually pleasing no lie and the friendship element was cute but for me personally this drama was 6/10 and thats too because of guan fang and a little bit of 2nd leads.
