His silent affection is so powerful that you don't need a single word—his eyes and gestures communicate everything. The music, particularly the sound of the guqin, complements this so well. When Lan Zhan plays, the music feels like an extension of his emotions, and it adds such a beautiful, realistic layer to the character and his journey.
Then there’s Wei Wuxian, whose lively, mischievous personality perfectly contrasts Lan Zhan’s reserved intensity.
