Not so sure about the pacing part I don't find myself appreciating this I can't lie I loved FoF the way it started made sense this one however didn't hit the mark for me. There are a lof of scenes where it could have been scrapped and not made too long. I think he focused a lot not on the world building but rather on the aesthetic and beauty. Too much focus on actors make up, the way he made jjy speak so slowly and while I do get its made to fit her char as a nine tailed fox I think its still overdone.. The whole pacing is a mess, the story doesn't feel intersting at all with everything dragging I remember how insignificant the scene of jjy caught in the seal of the dragon deity palace and tjr walking to her ever so slowly just to say you've overstepped and while yes it tells things and all I get it but its was too stretched even a fashion show runaway is usually more fast paced than that you know? I just wanted to complain abt this cuz tbh while I appreciate the beauty of how he makes the world look and everything I feel like its too draggy for a drama. This is becoming like an upgraded version of indian series where they keep giving you shots from all sides. If he was going to do this I think he shouldve went with photography or done something else instead of a drama where events and the script is just as important.

I like his style don't get me wrong I watched his other work and watched this one with the expectation of that. But he's overdoing it this time. You probably haven't checked weibo but a lot of ppl agree with this its a bit dragging. It is my opinion though but if you compare his old works with this one you'd notice its slower and yeah it is on purpose he knows people liked his style and went and overdone it which is why I had to say what I had to so for his future work he wouldn't go overboard again it would be a waste if he continued doing this he'd lose the popularity he'd gained.

Loved this thoroughly! Wished we could have seen the two kids they had tho and maybe a snippet of future boe er and changning cuz cuties! Loved also the "if Juzhou massacre didn't happen" part a little too much and wish they gave us something more about qianqian like we all knoe she came from either the future or an actual real world cuz cant lie the fact changyu is that strong makes me think its a novel of sorts only that qianqian never really knew abt whats happening. Anyways kudos to tian xiwei's Fan changyu she stole the show I literally watched it for her to start with and she didn't disappoint me I had my doubts that with her cutie pattotie face won't be able to look cool and scary but with her hair up her whole demeanor and even before she was able to be exactly that! My long wait for this drama wasn't for nothing

.... I have to complain I was looking forward to this but director sirrr wth is going on with u? The first episodes dragged for so long bcuz u had to keep giving us those slow motion scenes with the slow conversations FoF was better shot the pacing in this one is a bit too slow with no real substance. Watching one episode felt like forever he's focusing too much on the visuals and while I do appreciate his cinematic sense I also don't like it when its over done its distracting I'm not watching only for the visuals I want the story the acting the emotions but no he'd zoom on the actors faces or focus on the flow of their clothes their entrances, them leaving far tooooo much like brooooooo wth is going on? A drama can look both pleasing to the eye and mind if its balanced and the director apparently forgot that. It feels like I'm watching some art pieces except they are moving at this point and it's getting tiring plus knowing him he'd prolly kill off someone again mannn he needs to seek help fr for he likes tragedy way too much

Loving it so far I would recommend to anyone who likes cultivation donghuas and novels. Apparently its a novel tho I never really came across it so I'm pretty glad yang yang made me watch it. I do love watching xianxia sometimes when its a good one but recently I've been playing a cultivating game which left me aching for a xiuxian drama instead and I have been seeing a lot of reuters of yangyang before during the filming of this drama so I've been keeping an eager eye on it and I'm so glad I got to watch it now! Yangyang's acting was superb yet again he improved a lot. I also really loved the pacing, story and even the cgi wasnt so bad at last. The scenes were very good (besides the garden and plants they were a bit annoying to look at) also gotta say I even liked the villain wang duo really impressed me also the humor 😂 seriously gets me every time! Lots of actors I know! Gina looked so different here almost didn't recognise her tho I like her xD! I like how the romance wasn't the focus and wasn't the type you'd wonder why and how it happened like in dashing youth lol! The drama truly focused on the ml getting strong and facing adversaries. There was some sort of subtle harem feeling which expected if its a novel written by a man anyways its totally a very solid drama! I hope we get a season 2 soon! Tho yangyang needs some rest he had went thru a lot during its filming afterall.

The drama was a roller-coaster and I loved it, ML is very handsome, he is a whole green forest and was completely head overheels for the FL despite her pushing him away! Their Chemistry was fire!! The side couples and the funny divorce was soo funnnny! It was a very amazing watch id definitely rewatch it again esoecially for the ML because he truly is too cute the FL should have treasured him from the start seriously who can give up such a husband material! I totally recommend it!!
