Its because eun chong is the heir, and the chairwoman stated that when seyoung and jin goo marry, they'll adopt eunchong and be the heirs in his place. So seyoung and her moms plan I guess was to just live it up till then and then when eun chong reached of age they would find a way to manipulate him or get rid of him. But since jin goo wont marry her the chairwomen wouldnt allow seyoung as his single parent.
