Yes, the whole arc is rather logical but it is difficult to potray his change in a plot with such a fast pacing. It's been just a couple of days and Zhengliang went from 'I am never coming back' to 'I may spend the rest of my life here' :D He just doesn't strike me as such a flexible person. He's got enough practical reasons to return (no luck finding a job elsewhere) but his resolution to invest so much emotionally surprised me.

But it gave us the hilarious scene of Liu brothers' reunion in the latest ep18, so I'm not going to complain. Xiao Zhan has done a great job in this show. Well, everyone's acting here is very good!

ep 29, I would be sooo glad if Prince Xin lets go of his obsession with Xihe! If it happens it might be the first case among the cdramas I've watched when "the creepy obssessive third wheel" lets go - usually they become even worse. Jeremy is such a handsome man and talented actor, I really enjoyed his interation with He Yu in this episode

Yeah, all politics here only has decorative meaning. ML saying that Xihe controls the harem had me laughing. Sure, she placed her people in a couple of important positions there but then left for a month or so to the North-West. Good luck controlling anything from such a distance. IRL it could take her years to ensure the harem is truly in her hands

I, for one, did enjoy those undercover outfits! Han was the most expressive and interesting in these scenes. However, the thing with the drug astonished me too. Like... What the hell happened?

I am kinda confused and dissapointed with the ending of the spider case, tbh. The killer got hit by a car in some deserted alley and... it just happened? Has no one questioned who on earth was driving and why they didn't stop when there was obviously an unmoving person standing right in front of the car? Is it plausible for police not to react to that?
And yes, detective Han starts getting on my nerves with his bullheadedness, lol. Seems he's starting to doubt though.
