Review Gold Land Spoiler
The last 2 episodes frustrated me, agree that Heeju is unlikable and some of her decisions just baffled me, so I couldn't root for her journey.
I'm even upset that she got the happy ending lol.
She just wants a "normal life" and prefer to die than lose the gold, okay fine. She was consumed by greed over time, okay fine. But for me this show doesn't answer to why she has to retain all the gold bars (50 bars after divided it with Dokyung) to be able to achieve her goal of normal life?

1 gold bar is around 1 million USD (1,5 billion won), so 100 gold bars = $100 mil. Can't she have the "normal life" she's dreaming about with 5 or 10 million dollars? That amount is already far exceeded of what she could imagine, and enough for her never have to work again for a lifetime.
Again, she wants a normal life, not a jetset ultra rich lifestyle, so I don't get why her greed can only be satisfied by acquiring all of the gold bars.

The drama is about survival, okay she got blinded and turned to the dark side, but she must realize that she's just a normal girl and not a badass elite ex spy/army, doesn't know martial arts, can be easily over powered by men (especially Park Boyoung has small figure T_T).

Even till the last episode she's still shocked when she witness Park Ho Cheol stabbed his subordinate -> she's just not used to the cruelty of these evil people.
So why she's all in to "challenge" the people who's not hesitant to kill you to get what they want? What makes her think that she can outsmart and outpower those people who's not play by the rule?

Why not just give some gold bars to Dokyung (if she really want), take 10-20 gold bars with Woogy and detective, make 100 fake gold bars with the remainder of the bars (real gold for outer bar and fake metal inside, so when they check with the method on the last episode, it'll be detected as a real gold bar), cash in some of her bars with Woogy, escape to France, and give the half fake gold bars to chairman Ahn / Park Hocheol. They couldn't do anything to Heeju when they realize that the bars are half fake.

Because initially she was a normal "office" worker with average salary, even 1 gold bar is already equal to her salary till retired. Maybe I'll get it if she was a failed entrepreneur on the brink of bankruptcy, and only huge money (100 mil USD) could save her business.
The whole premise of her motive and decisions just doesn't work for me. The gamble is too high stakes without a convincing reason behind it (a normal life that can only be bought with 100 gold bars).

AndI don't understand that after she got shot, the detective was with her till she lost her consciousness, but the next scene why she was "treated" by chairman Ahn's people, why her father didn't bring her out that night?

I read the reviews on Sold out on you and found your review alongside with oppa_'s are pretty similar in tone. And uses some similar words too
you : stupid petty damsel in distress
oppa : clueless damsel in distress

you : So I dropped........ but life is too short to waste on trash dramas
oppa : I ended up dropping it. There’s only so much time, and this isn’t worth it.
