ENDLESS SAGA OF FLASHBACKS!!!
I regret watching Legend of Fei. The storyline is repetitive and frustrating, with everything revolving around the female lead’s grandfather. Every episode keeps bringing him up, and the excessive flashbacks (almost 80% of the drama) make it feel like nothing actually progresses. The female lead is overly praised, but her character feels unearned. She gets power and recognition mostly because of her grandfather, not her own growth. Her acting is just average.
The biggest issue is how the male lead was treated. He was introduced as smart and mysterious, but turned out completely useless. Even after being revealed as an emperor, he shows no responsibility while his army fights for him. Instead of contributing, he just follows the female lead around. This was a waste of Wang Yibo’s potential, especially when side characters had more impact than him.
This drama highlights a problem I see in many female-lead-centered stories—they weaken the male lead unnecessarily. I rarely see male-lead-centered dramas doing this to female leads, so it’s frustrating.
Overall, this drama is disappointing, repetitive, and poorly balanced. Not worth the hype.

Rollercoaster of Emotions and Great Acting!!
This was such a well written and original series.❤️[⚠️ SPOILER]
JUST IMAGINE!!!
What if a psychopath serial killer who doesn't have any kind of emotions like compassion, kindness, fear, forgiveness, sense of right or wrong etc. Unaware of his wrongdoings. Not even a human he's a COMPLETE EVIL. If he were to suddenly feel emotions and have a chance to repent, just imagine the overwhelming guilt he would experience. Previously enjoying bloodshed now hating himself for it. Trapped in such a guilt that he can never escape from. I think this was his last help/opportunity from God to repent and preventing him from committing further sin. I've watched many psycho thrillers but never came across something like this.

MASTERPIECE WITHIN MASTERPIECES!!!!
The intensity of the scenes of this drama is absolutely insane... And the BGM elevates every moment to another level! Genuinely giving me goosebumps 🔥Peak cinematography!! The writing, visual storytelling, music, and overall execution come together so perfectly that every scene feels like a carefully crafted cinematic experience⚡
I had previously watched Veil of Shadows on Netflix, and I was already blown away by the director’s writing, cinematography, background scores, plot twists, character arcs, and performances... Watching this series, I can immediately see that same creative vision coming through again🔥💥
The slow-motion sequences, camera angles, framing, and especially the actors’ expressions are absolutely on point... What makes this director stand out is the way even seemingly simple scenes are given so much creativity and emotional weight...Scenes that could easily have been shot in a straightforward manner are instead presented with such deliberate visual choices that their impact becomes completely different💯
"Every frame feels intentional. Every shot has a purpose. Every expression communicates something beyond the dialogue."
It’s not just good filmmaking it’s the kind of visual storytelling that makes you stop and appreciate the craft behind every single scene🤌 I genuinely feel like I’ve discovered a masterpiece within masterpieces!!!!!! 🤯🔥
