Where do y’all watch this show? Bc I saw korean translator say Viu’s subs aren’t that good maybe that’s why some are having trouble keeping up with a lotta of questions and blaming it on the show I think loklok and kisskh also get their subs on viu so RIP sorry to y’all
Unexpectedly, I kind of liked the grandfather as the villain it’s a shame he got killed so quick. Started to appreciate the acting of the actor too, the slow subtle transformation of evil look 👏 It made the king’s performance a bit weird in contrast tho 😭 Seriously can’t stand the forced gravelly voice? It’s like he’s trying to manufacture the rage.
I wish they'd helped more spirits throughout the series, I feel it would help the dynamics. It's solely focused…
I mean the people can’t even handle 5 ghosts in the show bc they’ll call the non plot driven ghost to be it filler episodes. The actors did say initially there were more but the writer had to cut it down.
Episode 11 and 12 were very weak compared to previous episode. Too many clichés. Like that full on confession…
Wdym “introducing” the love triangle 😭 That’s the initial plot? If anything that’s a bit of a non-issue.. It’s more about Yoongap possibly provoked to taking revenge bc someone stole his life and body
After skipping most of episode 11 I think this story could have easily been 12 episodes and feels dragged out.…
I’m curious what do you think should be cut out? Bc I think they’re good with the pacing it’s just the delivery and polishing of the script is messy. Ep 11 is the one I would choose to remove and Bibi’s character.
Ok, so if EFS only wanted pearl then why created all this drama to kidnap yu ri and use her as a bait to call…
he's been kind of a passive villain so far, all his "evil" deeds have been done from indirect stuff so i assume he's not that strong. he even ran away when he was faced with kangcheol in the same episode. i think he wanted the brothers to fight to make each other weak and then just choose whoever for the kill. still honestly your plan was much better
Writing at the end of ep 11 was a bit frustrating. It felt like it took her forever to tell them to stop fighting…
At that point I swear the writer didn't know what to do with Yeori. Bc yes she was captive but at the same time even if she was free I'm not sure what could she have done. I feel like there was more of an angle to make that whole scene more urgent for everyone. Even the fight scenes I didn't enjoy as much bc if Bibi was trying to "save" his brother and he loved him, why does it look like he wanted to hurt him
The one thing I appreciated was that they didn’t drag Bibi’s arc out too much. Ever since he showed up chasing…
It's inconsistent bc Kangcheol had a scene with the king where he gave insight about humans, sure it was a pessimistic take on humanity but still there's truth to it. But Bibi was written like all he knew was to eat humans' souls. He keeps repeating that humans "change minds" too quickly that was his only observation so why did he trust a human shaman to carry out his evil plan to kill Yeori
I'm trying to imagine the ideal ending for this show. While I initially wanted the leads to stay together, ultimately,…
I know right I feel like someone still loses any which way. Also, it's barely discussed here but the ethics of possessing someone's body and continuing to live as that and making others believe you have that identity is so interesting. It's too much nuance and complex for average kdrama watchers to dwell on this so not surprising to me they aren't hearing that Yeori was bringing up that point. The "happy ending" is that everyone lives, it looks Kangcheol barely likes to ascend as a dragon so I think eventually the orb will be the sacrifice, they free up Yoongap and the grandmother's souls and Kangcheol will have to continue as a human. The dilemma is about Yoongap's mom. Will she know? The "sad ending" is that ML/FL dies, or they both do. I doubt kdrama will do that. I'll give props to the writer bc as of now there's no "definite" predictable ending that I can say.
Contrary to what a lot of complaints here say, I think they should've stood 10 toes down in the romance part. It's like the writer or director wanted to appease the people with no romantic bones in their bodies and as a result we get lukewarm scenes that falls flat. People who can't see that romance enhances the stakes of the story are lacking emotional intelligence. It puts weight on characters decisions and makes them more alive. Why would characters with no relation at all be interesting to watch? ---

Also, it's the latest episode that is the one let down for me not episode 9(?). When Bibi was introduced, I liked him fine, but I could tell he's not that important. So, his ending today just didn't move me. It's like they wrote it just so they can have a scene where Kangcheol cries. That type of scene just doesn't make me feel anything and a lot of kdramas are guilty of that so I'm NOT that surprised. Anyways I hope this is just one instance and they pick it back up tomorrow.
Jang DaA’s acting made me think it’s nepotism but by her sister? I hope this awful acting was a result of…
Ironically most people "liked" her acting but I think that's definitely the influence of them liking her sister because I do not like her voice when she delivers lines which makes me wonder if there's any role that can suit her bc this ain't it. I'm supposed to feel fear or hate towards the character but didn't feel anything at all. Ryu Dain should be the one given the attention but I'm sure she'll have her moment someday.
Hows the overall plot and romance? Is there a love triangle between Yun Gap, Gangcheol and FL? Im really excited…
There's no love triangle tbh and imo the romance plot is very straightforward, no fighting over the girl. There was one scene with girls being jealous but that was immediately cut short with communication. The complicated parts of the drama lie in the mystery and not the romance
please tell me they’ll have a PROPER. kiss in the series. 😢😢😢
Is SBS strict with censoring kisses? It always depends on them or the director tbh. The rating when I watch it on OTT is PG13 though so could that influence it too?
I think loklok and kisskh also get their subs on viu so RIP sorry to y’all
Bibi is dumb but tbh when did the show imply deities are “wise” maybe they really are dumb like greek gods
