After throughout all the reviews, I find yours is the closest to my opinions.
For me, I tried to catch up to ongoing after 8 episodes was released so I didn't realized about boring or others because I chose to watch becoz of Earth and Bas. I don't mind about the Earth's acting because i know it's common among Thai BL series and overall, Earth's acting really surpassed most of the actors in the industry. I came because of him and ended with Pond and Maxky (especially pond XD). I find that he is hyper in real life after that I keen to him, just TMI tho 🤣
BUT I think I didn't have any complaint to series (HillTer) until I read the novel. Yes, certainly, ter is a bit childish, chaotic and also having innermind conflicts but like you said, at least both of them know their PAST CLEARLY. They fell in love since high school era and got caught to Hill's family but Ter didn't know the rest and he thought hill dumped him. I didn't finished the whole book but I reached when Hill asked Ter, "can he court to him again?", because in the novel, Ter's only problem is just a heartbroken and got trust-issue to Hill because he thought he was dumped. When Hill said like that, only he thought was just wanted to know about the past. That's all.
Moreover, in the novel, the author also portraits from Hill's pov so it went better. Not like in the series, Hill didn't have 100% confidence and he hesitated to court Ter again. What I love more about Hill is he is a bit foxy hehe in series, he is changed to as a walking forest. If I don't read the novel, yes of course, I enjoy the series version of Hill. But now, I feel very frustrating. If they didn't change Hill this far, I think Pond Ponlawit can show his acting more and many series fans won't be bored I think. I really feel sorry for Pond and Earth. Even though this series based on university life which is the very basic pattern of Thai BL series, the characters are different. The one who portraits need to be act well especially in emotional scenes and I think Pond and Earth is really suit with that. Unfortunately, they can't show their strength.
Agree with you, the production team must read the reviews on MDL too 🤣 especially, script team, I hope they won't destroy the other three books 🥲 I am slow-burn genre enjoyer so I really looking forward to South couple
Btw cinematography scenes are really great in HillTer's episodes I think. I kudos to that, if they didn't change the plot, the series would be better worth to watch
I wish I could see PondEarth in new series which can fully show their acting and chemistry, especially in dramatic plot. I really want to see Earth crying beautifully with his pretty face ðŸ˜ðŸ¤£ it'd be better if the series is not university life. may be office work or whatever, if Earth can show his fashion scenes, I think that show will be outshine
Also, I love the friendship scenes. Not only the doctor gang but also art class and engineering gang, I love the chaotic relationship. I love the friendship in reality too. They are not even under the same company and most of them met each other for the first to shoot that series but they're like besties and too noisy and chaotic whenever all those 10 ppl meet. I really want to know Studio Wabi Sabi don't get the idea to promote all the actors by shooting some variety shows or blogs. OMG, I really itchy so much by talking like that. I want some episodes of variety shows with these 10 actors. Noises and chaotic sights are really worth to watch without boring for any seconds I think like the live that doctor gang did to promote Maxky's lipstick selling 🤣
