Thank You Nyx

Making a Japanese adaptation of Your Sky is kind of risky since Your Sky TH was successful. Fans will naturally compare the two, and I am no innocent when it comes to that. 😂

But first, this was expected to be a shorter adaptation since JBLs usually have shorter runtimes and fewer episodes compared to Thai BLs. So, I wasn’t expecting a very copied version of the Thai adaptation, especially with the limited time they had.

I honestly love the cast, though. They were able to give me the vibe I was expecting, from the main leads to the supporting characters. What I liked about this version is that it really has that Japanese adaptation touch. The aquarium date was definitely required hahaha. 😂 Then there’s the piggyback ride instead of using a car. Very JBL touch. 😂

But given the shorter duration, the supporting roles weren’t highlighted as much since they had to focus more on the main leads, which is understandable.

With that said, there’s not much that feels very special about Your Sky JP for me. Hinata is cute and did a good job, but forgive me if I can’t stop comparing his cuteness to Teerak’s. Hehe. 🥹

I won’t say it’s not a good series. It’s just that, again, it’s hard not to compare when the Thai version is already there. But Your Sky JP was still good in its own way. I still enjoyed watching it, and yes, the smiles were still there. 🥹

And of course, the highlight for me would be the ThomasKong cameo!!! That definitely made me happy. 😂
