aaah if so, then yeah, Japan is way less accepting and is more conservative with their industry, especially Takato who didn't come out publicly and is someone who is marketed towards a hetero audience, Junta as well.

i agree with both of you! like, the anger and dislike from Jin towards Johnny was there but they didn't use it more to show how he was so ready to fight for Akin whether he did something or not. it was all on relieving Akin's guilt for which he shouldn't have any in the first place. but alas, they're really trying to make as few tweaks as possible from the anime source (the manga has a DESPICABLE start, btw and Junta (Jin) is constantly portrayed as a horny dude with Takato (Akin) bordering tsundere and abused ffs 🤦🏻‍♀️ the word "harassed" in the original title is no joke within the story ugh)

the team did such an amazing job actually with what source and reference they have! the anime is waaay less serious and way less emotional and with that, the Thai live action version truly brought out the "realism" of the story, instead of taking the route of the "light hearted, silly anime BL with questionable pervy characters and NC scenes" 😅

let's also remember this is based on a source material and in that story, neither of the characters are officially "out" to the public, especially Akin (Takato) having Jin (Junta) as his first male relationship

i agree! i was wondering that at first as well but if you look at previous episodes, it's quite subtle but their paired necklaces are usually on display even when they're supposed to be underneath their clothing 😊
