Really china, agian ? Gangrape in the first ep?! And y'all eating it up as if it is the sweetest story ever gives…
Also, people seriously can’t tell the difference between fiction and reality anymore.Chi Cheng is a problematic character—yes, absolutely. But that doesn’t make the entire show trash. Calling it the “worst thing ever created” and giving it 1.0 stars because of the gang rape scene? Be serious.Chi Cheng is written to be messed up. That’s literally the point. His whole personality is shaped by how toxic his home life is. His dad only cares about appearances and business status, literally took away the one thing he cared about (his snakes). His mom’s trying to force a girlfriend and a baby on him like he’s a puppet. No one in that house sees him as a person, just a project. He’s emotionally disconnected from everyone—his sister included. He smokes, he’s reckless, he lashes out. He’s intentionally shown as toxic. That gang rape scene wasn’t put in to glamorize anything—it was showing just how far gone he was. And the very next day, you already see a shift in him because of Wu. That matters. That’s storytelling. There’s even a scene where he stops smoking in the car when Wu’s there—but doesn’t care at all when his parents are around. That’s character development, subtle or not.No one’s saying he’s a good person. He’s not. But he’s complex. And watching that complexity change over time is part of what makes the show compelling. Not everything is black and white. And trying to destroy a show because you can’t separate a fictional character’s flaws from the actor or the creators? That’s just lazy viewing. So yeah. Spam the ratings all you want, but at the end of the day, the story is still getting told—and people who get it, get it.
EXACTLY also its clear the HATERS got so mad it got 9.0 so they decided to unleash their demons and downrate it…

I thought it was still on 9.0 cuz I just got on my Chromebook, when I refreshed it was a different situation and my eyes couldn't believe what I just saw 😭
If & I mean IF they change this show to be less BL and more bromance I might stop watching! But i am hopeful.
Girl Calm Down!! The author and Gagaoolala said it won't be less bl but more cuz they are putting in more scenes than before. Revenged love will be more gay,TRUSTTTT!
I'm watching the first episode and the directing and voice overs aren't quite right for me, plot is more than…
Also, the more carefully you watch episodes 3 to 8, the more you’ll find yourself going back to episodes 1 and 2 to better understand the characters’ motives and emotional depth.
Episode 1 actually shows Chi Cheng at his darkest point—but as the story unfolds, you start to see how deeply his love for Wu Suo Wei influences him. His actions and attitude shift because he’s trying to hide the pain and mistakes of his past.
On the other hand, Wu Suo Wei is in denial about his feelings for Chi Cheng. Being an only child without a father, he faces heavy expectations: to be straight, to be wealthy (which he later achieves by starting a business), and to build a traditional family. These pressures make it even harder for him to accept his feelings.
And let’s not forget Yue Yue’s betrayal—that plays a major role in shaping how Wu Suo Wei sees himself, his self-worth, and his ability to trust and love again. It’s more layered than it might seem at first glance.
Also the relationship with Chi Cheng and Cheng yu is very deep and Jiang Xiao past and why he doesn't accept Cheng yu's love
Just saying the characters motivations and personalities are deeper than you think.

And it's perfectly fine to feel that way—everyone has different tastes. I actually didn’t like Revenged Love that much at first either, but now I understand why so many BL fans are obsessed with it. Especially for newer fans, it seems like it's raising the bar pretty high.
Yes, the acting can be a bit cringe and the plot somewhat unrealistic or even silly at times, but what really sets Revenged Love apart from other BLs is the chemistry and tension between the leads. They just fit together so well. And despite the flaws, the characters express their emotions clearly, and the main character's range of expressions really helps you connect and understand what he’s going through.
With Revenged Love and Desire both airing now, we’re seeing a noticeable shift. These Chinese series feel, in many ways, a step up from most Thai BLs in recent years—whether it’s acting, storytelling, or production. They're gaining a lot of attention, and it’s not just hype—it goes much deeper than what you get from the first two episodes.
Haha, yeah, China’s BL novels do get wild sometimes! If this one’s ABO with a manipulative enigma, it’s probably going to be intense—definitely some toxic vibes in there. Fingers crossed they don’t go overboard with the grape scenes though 🤞🏻
LOL, I totally get you! ABO works fine in fanfic where imagination runs wild, but seeing it on screen just makes it hit different—kind of cringe and hard to take seriously 😂 It’s similar to a whole idea of a dog impregnating a human—just wild and super unrealistic.Yeah, that’s where I’m like… nahhh. Some things just don’t translate well to live action! I guess it works in fanfic because it’s all fantasy, but seeing it live action makes it hard not to judge the concept 😂
