When emotional chaos,good acting and lightinging shows a characters feelings y'all call it a "soap opera" while I call it great acting because this series isn't always funny,bubbly and cute every ep , it changes it's tone and mood for a reason...

Chi chengs father and sister send him to jail to test if Wu souwei will give up everything for chi cheng and he does so they feel guilty about it

chi cheng got arrested for ‘underhand dealings’, so suowei used all the money he had saved in his private savings (he was going to use it for their retirement) to bribe the higher-ups to get chi cheng out of jail

and chi cheng was upset bc he loved the way suowei was stingy over money and painstakingly saved everything, only for it to be destroyed bc of him (mind u the value of chi cheng’s properties could of easily been used for the bribe, but his parents changed the title deeds into their name, even kicking suowei out of his and chi cheng’s house 😭)

My fault about telling you to drop it...I know you aren't into Wang Shou's appearance but some dramas won't always be chill and things are gonna be worse next ep just saying🤐

Yeah which is like 99% of what happens in bl drama's anyways but yeah maybe spoilers for you made it worse and there are things in the novel that made me cringe and wanna run,so valid....

if its getting boring for you drop it girl,and also what part of the "down" side of RL is boring for you,what do you mean more "complicated" and also Wang Shou isn't just a pretty face,he has done some crazy stuff which lead to this.....

FR,I didn't get what they were saying because things are quite bumpy on RL which makes things more complicated,if you avoid spoilers and reading the novel,maybe they would not be thinking that way......

They are side couple for a reason

I don't get people who gets bored as soon as angst and drama enters the picture? You want sunshine and rainbows all throughout the show? Now THAT would be boring. But then again you're welcome to drop the show but don’t come back in two episodes time when the main couple are all sweet with e/o again.

next ep,they will break up,and I think next week/after the next ep Tues, they will reconnect

Yeah, I gave it a low rating, and maybe I was a little harsh—but I still stand by what I said earlier. Not everyone’s into ABO stuff, and that does affect how popular a show gets. RL blew up because of the slow emotional buildup and Ziyu and Tian’s wild chemistry—people got really hooked. Desire’s not bad, but it hasn’t hit that same level yet. That’s just how I see it.

I don’t really agree with that take. Just because it’s omegaverse doesn’t mean it’ll be more popular than Revenged Love. A lot of BL fans aren’t into the whole male pregnancy or ABO stuff—it’s just not for everyone, so it makes sense why it hasn’t gotten as big.

Also, part of what made Revenged Love blow up was Ziyu and Tian’s insane chemistry. Their scenes had everyone talking, posting clips, analyzing every look. That kind of buzz isn’t easy to recreate, and the new show hasn’t hit the same way. So yeah, it’s kind of obvious why it’s not on the same level.

I think RL still has crazier fans because it built up slowly and emotionally—people got deeply attached to the characters and couple. Desire had hype from the start (especially being A/B/O), but not everyone vibes with that genre, and the emotional pull isn’t as intense yet. RL’s chemistry is messier and more chaotic, which drives more obsessive fandom behavior. Desire is still building that level of buzz.

I think Chi Cheng and Guo Cheng Yu just had a really close best friend dynamic — the kind where they deeply understood each other. But Wang Shuo is a jealous snake. He couldn’t stand Chi Cheng being emotionally close to anyone else. That possessiveness alone shows how toxic their relationship was.

Honestly, I don’t think Chi Cheng was ever truly in love with Wang Shuo. Not the dedicated kind of love — the kind that makes you want to grow and change for your partner. That’s the love he showed with Wu. With Wang Shuo, it always felt unstable, like they were stuck in a toxic push-pull.

And when Wang tried to make Chi Cheng jealous by involving his own brother and Wu in something physical, I think he expected Chi Cheng to lose it — maybe even react violently. But instead, they just went through with it and had sexz like it was nothing, and Chi Cheng didn’t even care later. That says a lot.

Chi Cheng would never want Wu to be hurt or cry — but with Wang Shuo, I don’t think he felt the same level of care. That tells me exactly where his heart really was.
