The soundtrack is absolutely top-notch — there are many songs, and each one is beautiful and haunting in its own way. However, the film just isn’t my cup of tea. The male lead is way too skinny, and his overly dramatic makeup didn’t work for me. His character is portrayed as pitiful and weak to the point of being off-putting.
The film’s core values are quite problematic, especially in the flashback scenes. It feels like the story goes out of its way to villainize the second female lead, when in reality, it’s the female lead’s whole family that seems deeply flawed.
In short, amazing music, but the plot and character portrayal left a lot to be desired — not something I’d personally recommend.
