People complain when ML save FL everytime like FL is damsel in distress. Now you complain why ML don't save FL. Nowadays drama maker do this die, do that also die.

It is not about drama quality, it is audience quality. Audiences nowadays bexame impatient, they like brainless short drama, exaggerated acting

It was explained so many times, Zhan Zhao is a super classic character, under Justice Bao. He is a police, he follows rules. Filmmaker chose not to change this rule just to cater to impatient audiences. They choose to respect the character's signature principal. Personally, I liked that, cause I can watch more fight scenes.

What example are you talking about? Most I know have exaggerated facial expressions, fight scenes are done very badly, OST? I don't know, mixing English everytime (take away historical immersion), music also sometimes good sometimes not good (same as cdrama). Cdrama have many dubbing, I agree. But those quality ones without or with only few dubbing, is much better than the "best" historical kdrama

Well you are lucky to find this drama. Yes it is demon hunting. Maybe the recommendation didn't appear because this is earlier release? Actually this was filmed way earlier in 2022 but is shelved due to Song Zuer's case. Well I am not going to compare this drama with MR, but I can say this drama is very high quality, very good acting, cinematography, OST, BGM. The stories are very special and heart-gripping. The fight scenes are good, the final fight is cinematic!

Demon Hunter Romance is also very good, same director as Mo Li
