Well you are lucky to find this drama. Yes it is demon hunting. Maybe the recommendation didn't appear because this is earlier release? Actually this was filmed way earlier in 2022 but is shelved due to Song Zuer's case. Well I am not going to compare this drama with MR, but I can say this drama is very high quality, very good acting, cinematography, OST, BGM. The stories are very special and heart-gripping. The fight scenes are good, the final fight is cinematic!

Demon Hunter Romance is also very good, same director as Mo Li
