Hi there. Both titles are the same thing. Supposingly, they should be releasing other side stories with it, thus…
Hahaha no, I'm not a veteran or anything. I just really enjoy these kinds of dramas. I think they're called wuxia dramas, right?

As for whether that thing about the ROCH 2006 ending is true or not, honestly, I'm not sure. It's been a long time since I watched it, and I don't really remember the details anymore. All I remember is Liu Yifei was in it, and I instantly fell for her hahaha.

If I had to pick my favorite LOCH version, I think it'd be this one. Both Huang Rong and Guo Jing look great in it xD. But for the most accurate "naive" Guo Jing, I'd say the 2017 version. The actor really nailed that portrayal.

To be honest, I'm not the type to analyze whether the story is well-written or if the actors are super talented. Sometimes I watch something just because I instantly like the actor or actress.

Wait, 60 episodes? And that's not even counting ROCH and HSDS yet?

Thanks for the answer
Oh, no worries. I’ve actually watched almost all versions of the Condor Heroes trilogy. Well, not all of them, but I did go on a bit of a binge a few years ago, starting with ROCH 2006

Back when I was a kid, I remember watching ROCH with Andy Lau and HSDS with Tony Leung, though I only recall bits and pieces. So technically, the first LOCH I watched in full was the 2008 version

I kind of expected the story to be trimmed down, since the versions I’ve seen usually ran for 40 to 60 episodes. But this one’s just 30 episodes (correct me if I’m wrong)

Man, people are really missing out on a good story. All these complaints about Guo Jing being dumb or slow, like, have you even taken the time to understand the character? Not every hero needs to be some smooth genius. Guo Jing's strength is in his loyalty, kindness, and strong moral compass. That's the heart of what Jin Yong was writing

But now with TikTok edits and flashy clips, all people want is a handsome, smart guy who fights well and looks cool doing it. They skip over the values, the growth, the meaning behind it all. Meh, probably most of the people watching this are just tourists anyway. Just passing through, never really getting what makes the story special

like seriously..i hard skipped to ep20,but couldnt endure the stupidity and boringness..story is meh, casting…
Nope… if we’re talking about who's the dumbest, Guo Jing takes first place. Probably the only one in the whole trilogy like that. Yang Guo’s smart, and Zhang Wuji is too.

The thing is, you’re confusing being naive with being stupid or some kind of pacifist fool. They just have strong morals and genuinely believe in the good in people, especially Guo Jing.

All the male leads understand that having power comes with the responsibility to protect the weak. That’s why they avoid fighting unless they absolutely have to.

Maybe try actually grasping the heart of the story next time instead of treating it like just another action highlight reel.
