“Over-the-top but true to life—My Stubborn is a wild ride worth watching.”

Where are my Boat and Oat fans at? Because My Stubborn was a wild ride—and I loved every minute of it. Sure, some folks said it was too much to believe, and yes, a few scenes had me wondering if they hired adult film directors on the side. But underneath all the chaos, there was something hilariously real about it.

This BL didn’t shy away from exaggeration, but it also nailed the truth about relationships. There’s always that one innocent guy who falls for everything, the oversexed character who’s always stirring the pot, the couple hiding their feelings like it’s a national secret, and the pair who just can’t say “I love you” without choking on it. We’ve seen these people in real life—and maybe even been them.

Despite the drama, the misunderstandings, and the occasional eyebrow-raising moment, the show wraps up with everyone finding their version of happiness. And that’s what makes it work. It’s messy, it’s loud, it’s borderline ridiculous—but it’s also heartfelt.

Boat and Oat carried the show with their chemistry and comedic timing. I’d love to see them in more offbeat rom-coms, but I wouldn’t mind a serious drama or two to show off their range. They’ve got the chops, and My Stubborn proved they’re not afraid to take risks.
