I think Tawan was sick and he went to abroad for treatment. It must have been a bit life-threatening and chances of survival was less. That is why he broke up with Phi. He didn't want Phi to lose his career and go with him for treatment and end heartbroken if something happen to Tawan... This is just my theory of why Tawan broke up with Phi
