"Hey Leene! I was just scrolling through the reviews to see if this drama is worth it and stumbled upon…
"OMG Leene! I’m so happy you replied! 😍 I can’t believe we have such similar tastes – and yes, KengNamping for the win! Finding another fan of them is just the best! 🚢💖
I’ve been a drama lover since 2015. I started with K-dramas, then moved on to C-dramas, J-dramas, and Taiwanese dramas before I eventually discovered BLs. Out of the huge variety of BLs from all over Asia, I love Thai BLs the most because they’re so bold and broad-minded. I’ve always considered myself a receptive person, but I must say that BLs totally changed my perspective on relationships: love has no genre. ❤️✨
For a long time, I didn't have a 'forever ship', but that completely changed when I discovered 'ABO Desire' (2025). I fell in love with the Omegaverse genre and the actors Huang Xing and Qiu Ding Jie. After that, I found 'Khemjira', which was a total game-changer! I learned to appreciate Thai culture even more, and I just love Keng and Namping's 'on fire' chemistry. They even inspired me to join a huge fan group, LoL! 🕵️‍♀️🚀🔥
Lastly, I discovered the C-BL 'To My Shore' (2025)—have you watched it yet? I was completely blown away by the main leads Yun Qi and Hao Yi Ran. Since then, these three couples have officially become my 'Holy Trinity': KengNamping, XingQiu, and YunQiYiran. They are the ones who truly keep my fangirl heart beating! ❤️✨
Thank you so much for the link and the tips about Jwells! The versions of 'Qian Sui Qi Meng Yun Wei Yang' I watched were actually based on her recommendations through the YouTube links here. I checked again, and since they’re all about 2h 40m long, I don't think anything was missing—the subtitles just weren't the best. To be honest, I’m not the most patient person! 😂 I was so eager to finish it that I couldn’t wait, so I watched the whole drama on my app under the title 'Fall in Love With A Eunuch'. My 'strategy' was a bit chaotic: I’d watch the cut scenes on YouTube and then jump back to my app until I hit the next missing part, and so on. After comparing them, I realized I probably overreacted—they didn’t actually cut that much. So, sorry for the confusion! 🙈
Your offer to translate is literally the sweetest thing ever! I might actually take you up on that if I ever need help. I love foreign languages, but it's a real shame I can't speak Mandarin still. I’ve been trying to learn on my own, but it’s so difficult and I haven’t found a good teacher yet. I’m originally from Cuba, so Spanish is my mother tongue. I studied English there, then moved to Germany and had to learn German. Now, I mostly speak German all the time and only use Spanish occasionally when I talk to my family on the phone. To be honest, I've forgotten so much of my English because I don't practice speaking anymore; it just doesn't come naturally like it used to. Nowadays, I mostly use it to watch dramas with subtitles or read books. I only really write in English when I’m posting comments on YouTube, TikTok or other platforms, or when I’m exchanging thoughts with new people I meet on different platforms like here on MDL, where almost everyone speaks the language.
Wow, you’ve been watching since 2004? That’s impressive! You’re like a Drama-Sensei to me! 🙇‍♀️ Living in Singapore sounds like a dream for a drama lover. I totally get your struggle with those 'episode by episode' sites. I actually prefer watching on my apps because the episodes play one after another automatically, which is super convenient. Plus, it’s helpful to be able to go back and re-read the subs if they flash by too fast! But binging a full movie version on YouTube or other platforms is also a great alternative for me—especially if I can't find the exact drama I’m looking for on the apps I already have.
I’ve already seen 'Reborn in Your Embrace' as well, and it’s definitely one of my favorites among all the versions I’ve watched with this same plot so far—it went straight to my huge list of VDs in the favorites section! 📝✨ Let me know what you think of the version I mentioned once you've had a chance to watch it.
I’d love to keep exchanging more recommendations for good VDs, C-dramas, and BL series, or just talk about our favorite ships! Should we keep commenting here on this drama page, or would you prefer if I sent a direct message to your MDL profile instead? 🌸
It would be great to hear from you whenever you have time. Until then, happy drama watching! ✨"

refreshing drama ! upset i discovered this late !! xDbored of the usual smart isekai romance drama, this FL is…
"Hey Leene! I was just scrolling through the reviews to see if this drama is worth it and stumbled upon your comment. Honestly, same!! I discovered it super late too—literally today, lmao! 😭💀
I became an instant fan of 'Shi Yue Yue'—the actress who plays the (FL) here—after seeing her with 'Chen Jing He' in 'Hong Tan Re Wen: He Qi Xian Sheng Re Lian Sheng Wen (2025)'. I’ve been hunting for all her works ever since! 🕵️‍♀️✨
I found this one, casually, on an app I frequently use to watch short vertical dramas under the title 'Fall in Love with A Eunuch'. The subs are actually good, BUT so many of the best/intimate scenes are cut out! It’s so frustrating! 😩🥺💔
I checked the YouTube links here, and while the movie versions seem complete, the subs are either trash or completely missing. My Mandarin is non-existent, so I’m really struggling! 🤧 Since you already watched it, do you happen to know any other app or have a direct link where I can watch the full original version—completely unedited and with good subs? I really don't want to miss out on any scenes! Any help would be life-saving! 🙏💖
By the way, how long have you been into the world of dramas? Do you know your way around the 'Drama-Universe' in general? I’d love to connect and exchange more info with others! I’m a huge fan of 'C-dramas' (especially the long horizontal ones), but I also enjoy 'J-dramas', 'K-dramas', and 'Taiwanese dramas'.
To be honest, I’m currently totally obsessed with 'Short Vertical Dramas'. I’m actually quite new to this VD world—I didn’t even know these existed until I randomly stumbled upon a clip on YouTube and BOOM! 💥 I watched one, then two, three... and I just couldn't stop myself. I got totally hooked and addicted, lol! Now I’ve already binged over 100 mini-dramas! 😅
I’d love to chat and exchange our favorites! For me, it doesn’t really matter if they are old series, new releases, or those super famous trendy vertical dramas. I enjoy almost every genre: 'Historical', 'Palace Harem', 'Romance', 'Fantasy', 'Revenge', 'Rebirth', 'CEO-Romance', 'Noona-Romance', 'Childhood Sweethearts', 'Hidden Identity', 'Xianxia', 'Wuxia'... you name it!
I’m really looking for more great 'Short Vertical Dramas' recommendations, though I’m open to normal series too. I’d love to hear about other apps or options where I can find more high-quality shorts!
Also, I hope you don't mind me asking something a bit personal, but I’m so curious! Is that 'Keng Harit' and 'Namping' in your profile picture? 😍 It's a bit blurry, but they look like one of my favorite ships! Are you a fan of the 'Khemjira' series too? It would be so cool if we shared that interest as well!
Let me know if you're up for it! 😊✨"

Title Reborn in Your Embrace Spoiler
What platforms is this vertical playing on? OTHER than YouTube or daily motion?I realize not everyone can subscribe…
Omg, I feel your pain 100%! 😩 The struggle is REAL. It’s like these platforms are playing hide and seek with us! One day it’s 'The CEO's Secret Wife' and the next it's 'Revenge of the Silent Bride'—same drama, different planet. 🤡✨
If you're looking for the best free alternatives, you should definitely check out MeLolo and Reelxia. Honestly, these are two of the best options for vertical shorts right now! They are constantly updated with new titles, and the best part? You can watch everything for free without being constantly interrupted by annoying ads! 🚫📺
On MeLolo, the episodes just play automatically one after another. Reelxia is even cooler because they combine all episodes into one long movie format, so you can watch the whole story from start to finish in one go, while it still keeps that vertical look. The video quality, OSTs, and subtitles are usually quite good, though there are always a few exceptions.
Quick tip: Reelxia isn't available in every app store, but you don't even need to download it. You can just use your browser! If you search for a specific title like 'Moonfall Over Hale' + Reelxia, the site will pop up. Also, that drama you're looking for (listed here as 'Reborn In Your Embrace') can be found on MeLolo under the title 'Phoenix Kiss'! 🔍✨
Another favorite of mine is iQIYI. Out of all the paid apps, this one is my absolute favorite. They have standard long dramas and tons of vertical shorts! For the most part, the video quality, background music, and English subs are good. A huge plus: you can choose between two monthly VIP tiers. Compared to those other overpriced apps, iQIYI is actually very affordable and fair—it’s definitely budget-friendly!
One tier is a little bit more expensive than the other, so you can pick the best one according to your needs. Both give you great advantages, like watching everything ad-free! One allows you to use the app on 2 devices, while the other covers up to 4 devices (PC, Smart TV, tablet, and phone). You can watch the first 10 to 12 episodes for free, but starting from episode 13, you’ll need a subscription. You'll get a notification before your sub ends. The best part? The monthly subscription is flexible—you can cancel it anytime at the end of the month if you change your mind. If you go for the yearly VIP, you also get ad-free, unlimited access for the whole year! 🎟️🙌
HiTV is a total game-changer! 🌟 You download it via browser because it’s not available in many countries' app stores, but you can easily install it directly from their website onto your phone or tablet. Most of the content is free, and while there are ads between episodes, they are luckily minimal—usually just one or maybe two short clips. You’ll need to create a profile, which you can do using your Google account or email. Even if you don’t sign in officially, you still get access to a ton of free dramas and vertical shorts. If you do log in officially, you unlock even more new titles, though some of those are paid. I noticed they also offer a VIP subscription, but I haven't tested it myself yet.
One thing to keep in mind: In almost all of these apps, the original Chinese names in the plot descriptions are replaced by English ones. This means that in the English subtitles, only English names will appear for the characters. Also, the real-life names of the actors are usually not listed at all. The exceptions here are iQIYI and HiTV.
In both iQIYI and HiTV, the original Chinese names are kept in the plot descriptions and subtitles—they aren't replaced by English names. While HiTV doesn't always list the actors' real names for every single series, it’s still much better than most apps! In iQIYI, they actually list the actors' real-life names, making it SO much easier to find more of their work! 🔍🎬
You can also find a huge selection on Reelala, GoDramaGo, FreeShort, Freebits, Dramini, and another one called Popcorn Drama. These are solid alternatives for finding both brand-new and older vertical shorts that you won't find anywhere else. The best part? They are 'free' and easy to download via the Google Play Store—so they’re legal and safe!
However, there is a catch: the ads are honestly a nightmare. 😩 Expect to sit through 3 to 4 clips in a row between every single episode. It feels like forever, and you really need a lot of patience and time if you want to finish a series there. If you don't mind the wait, the video quality, OSTs, and English subs are usually pretty solid, which is a nice plus.
A quick heads-up specifically about Reelala: It’s one of the few apps where you won’t find any plot descriptions or actors' names at all. You literally only get the title and the genre, nothing else!
Also, keep in mind that titles vary like crazy across all these platforms. A drama might have a completely different name depending on which app you’re using. It’s annoying, but that’s just how the system works—you’ll get used to the chaos! 🕵️‍♀️✨
If those aren't enough, there are also apps like Dramabox, Reelshort, Flickreels, CandyJarTV, MoreShorts, and My Drama. They have great content, but be warned—their VIP subscriptions are insanely expensive. 💸💀
Since you’re already familiar with platforms like YouTube, Dailymotion, and Bilibili, you probably know the deal. It’s great that so much is available for free, but finding high-quality versions there is a real challenge. Most of the time, the video quality is lacking, the background music (OSTs) is 'off' or cuts out, and the subtitles can be pretty confusing. It’s exactly that frustration—having to drop a drama halfway through because the subs don't make sense—that makes those other apps worth considering, despite the ads!
I’ve actually started my own master list to keep track of all this chaos, and it’s been a total lifesaver! 📑✨ I always start by noting down the original Chinese titles (the ones you find on MDL), followed by all the different English aliases and the specific titles used on each platform. I also keep track of which app I used to watch it, the genre, and the release/streaming date. But the most important part for me is listing the real names of the Lead Actors (ML & FL), along with a short plot summary and my own review. This system has helped me so much in identifying the actors and discovering their other work, whether it’s a brand-new series or an older hidden gem! 🔍🎬
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions at all! Whether it’s about the different apps (free or paid), specific titles on certain platforms, or if you're looking for recommendations for other great vertical shorts and actors—just ask!
I’d be more than happy to share my personal favorites and top discoveries with you. I’ve found so many gems by now that listing them all here would literally turn this message into a trilogy, and I’ve already written a whole novel! Lol. 📖😂
I honestly feel like I had a stroke of luck; through intense online research and digging through countless comments and ads, I’ve met some incredibly kind people who helped me out with great tips without asking for anything in return. It makes me so happy to know there are still reliable and helpful people out there. I want to do the same and help others who enjoy Chinese dramas as much as I do!
Also, if you happen to have any tips or suggestions for good short dramas or new apps yourself, please feel free to send them my way! I’m always excited to experience a great new story. 🎬✨
Take care, stay hydrated, and happy drama-binging! See you in the next plot twist! 🫰💖🍿"

Since I'm also pretty new to this vertical dramas rabbit hole 🕳 🏃‍♀️, I'd really appreciate it if u could drop some of your own recs if u have any gems! See u around!🖐

Just finished watching and love it❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 I was captivated by the chemistry between Ye Hua…
I´ve just read your post, and if u want an equally captivating series as this one, u should watch "Love & Rdemption" from 2020. This one is by far one of the best Xianxias after "Eternal Love". If u want any others recommendations, just tell me, It´d be great to go over my all-time favorite C-dramas with u here."
