This episode is my favorite so far!

I really love this episode, especially the last scene! I love the vibe of that scene, how Juanito entered the room and Carmela's reaction when she saw him. Kiligggg much. I also love the akyat bahay scene ver 2 iykyk hahahaha and the part where Carmela opened up to Juanito about her past love. As a reader of the novel who also read the two prequels, I'm happy to see scenes that connect with them, iykyk. The acting is great, all the actors play their characters well especially Jerome and Heaven. I really love how Jerome delivered his lines, and Heaven's facial expressions are so cute! The editing is getting better, and for now, I don't have any complaints but I hope they double check the episodes before they release it. Overall, it's a great watch, and the story's pacing is good. PS. I really think this series will have season 2 base on the story's pacing.

I love this episode and my favorite so far!!!

This episode has so many iconic scenes from the novel, and their execution is so good! I also love how they include different POVs of other characters, which are not shown in the novel because it is told only from Carmela's POV. I love the acting of all the cast members in this episode, especially in the "sinasapian scene" they all nailed it. I love how they deliver their lines, it is not awkward at all. Also, kudos to Heaven and Jerome they portray Carmela and Juanito very well. Carmela's funny side and Juanito's charming personality are done well by Heaven and Jerome. I can't give a full 10 stars yet because I have some complaints about the editing of certain scenes, but compared to other episodes, the editing is improving. I can't wait for the next episode. The abangan is exciting!

Four Stars

Wow, kudos to the actors, especially Heaven as Carmela and the actor of Don Alejandro. Grabe, their scene together was so intense. It's really just the editing, and some of the major scenes lack build-up because a scene will just suddenly pop up. The pacing was fine in the previous episodes, but then it suddenly sped up this episode. I really wish their duration wasn't only 40 minutes. There's no problem with the acting, they are all good actors. It's really just the transitioning of the scenes

Finally, we've got the firefly scene!…

Finally, we've got the firefly scene! I thought their kiss would be longer, just like in the book, but it's okay, haha. At least they kissed. Also, I love the harana scene, omg! It's just the editing is not okay for me. There are scenes where they just pop up. There are no minor scenes that lead up to them, and I think that's what is lacking in this episode and also episode 12. Why is the duration only 40 minutes per episode? They should have made it over an hour, like other series.

Their acting to this episode is great however the dialogue last scene is a bit confusing.

I rate this episode an 8/10. I would have given a lower score of 7/10 due to the last scene being so confusing and some scenes are lack of thrill. However, the acting was truly superb, especially Jerome, which makes my rating 8/10. The series overall has shown improvement in recent episodes in both its cinematography and story flow. Also, the performances by Heaven, Jerome, and the rest of the Alfonso family in this episode were outstanding. Especially the sad scenes (They nailed it). However, this episode is lack of thrill. For example, (SPOILER) during the scene where Carmela and Juanito were disguised as a British couple in Manila the episode missed an opportunity to add tension by not including encounters with people who knows them. Similarly, when Carmela, dressed as Madre Olivia, boarded the boat to see Juanito, the scene would have benefited from an intense moment, like having a guard closely examine her face. Finally, the dialogue in the last scene was so confusing, particularly regarding Madre Olivia and the witness dialogues. To fix this, Madre Olivia should have clearly explained to Heneral Seleno and Don Alejandro that she went to Sugbu with Carmela, but returned to Manila for a task, leaving Carmela in Sugbu, and she (Madre Olivia) take the same boat back to San Alfonso as Juanito, as described in the book.

This episode is my favorite so far!

Wow. This episode is so great! 10/10! We get to see their acting skills, and wow, hands down! From the main characters (Carmela and Juanito) to the support roles, walang tapon sa casts. Versatile actors indeed! They are so great! The emotions in this episode feel like they just came out of the novel. This is the exact emotion I felt when I read the book! And the abangan... hays. I'm not ready yet, huhu

Jealous Era is Here!

The drunk carmela scenes are so cute hahahaha then the iconic letter of carmela omg it's so funny na para bang hindi siya napunta sa past hahaha. Finallyyy! the accidental kiss is here, kilig much! There are so many iconic scenes in this episode from the novel. The chaos will start next episode, i can't wait to watch how they will execute the scenes I'm waiting to watch. Also, I want to praise all of the casts for an amazing performance. Walang tapon pagdating sa acting. I still have an issue for the editing but overall the episode is good! It is worth watching. Please for new watchers, don't be discourage on the negative feedback. This adaptation receive a lot of hate because of some issues (about love teams/ portrayers). For me, the acting is great and the story by Binibining Mia is truly a masterpiece. I think you should watch it yourself and then it is up to you if you will continue to watch the series or not.

Have so many revelations about the story!

Even though I know the story, I'm still shocked by the revelations. I love how Heaven and Jerome deliver their lines, especially Jerome in the last scene, it was so kilig! Their acting is so great, I feel their emotions in every scene they do especially with iykyk scene (bawal spoiler). Also, I love how Josefina (Anna Luna) acts, she delivers her lines so well. I love her, omg! The cariñosa scene is beautiful but I didn't like the blocking of the dance because most of the time when Juanito and Carmela are dancing the background dancers block the camera. As for the editing, I really feel like it needs to improve pa talaga. Yes, the editing is improving, but I hope it gets even better, especially the sound pleaseee viva. Anyway, the abangan is exciting hihi!

Love this episode!

Leandro's finally here! I absolutely love this episode. We got to see jealous Carmela hihi (I thought "tigil kasal" na Carmela). Also, I love the scene where Juanito sulks but then totally ends up the one wooing Carmela in the end hahahaha For the editing, i have no complaints. Kudos Viva, the editing improved but I hope it gets even better in the future episodes, especially with Carmela's Dear Diary scenes. Missed opportunity, because I think her diary entries and realizations would be perfect to put at the end of every episode. So far, this is my favorite episode!

The episodes are just keep improving and i'm happy with that!

I just finished watching episode 4, and it was so good! I love how every cast member delivers their lines. The cinematography is beautiful, especially in the scene where they are cooking the Caldereta ala Montecarlos. As a reader, I feel the story's pacing is well done. The scenes with Carmela and Juanito give me the same feelings (kilig much) I had when I read the novel. Also, Carmela's scenes are so funny hahahaha I love how Heaven portrays her. It's nice to see the editing improve with every episode. This episode's editing was great compared to the others.I just have one suggestion, they should add subtitles when the characters speak Spanish. I'm so excited for episode 5!

Editing improved compared to the first episode but still needs some refinement.

I'm happy that the story flow in this episode has improved compared to the first one. The scenes are well put together. However, there are still a few editing issues like in one scene where Carmela is using her phone. It seemed like they forgot to show what she was looking at, even though the sound effect was there. Also, some of her monologues had noticeably lower volume compared to the others. I really hope the editing continues to improve in the next episodes so that these flaws become less noticeable.I appreciate that they showed us the backstory between Shae, James, and Carmela, although I feel like it would’ve been better if placed in Episode 1. Overall, this episode was good. I really loved how they showed Carmela being transported back to the past. Also, the ending scene was chef’s kiss! I felt like I was transported back in time with her. I can’t wait for Episode 3!P.S. The end of the bar scene was exactly how I imagined it. OMG!

Episode 1 is good but have some flaws

As a reader of ILYS1892 and a fan of Binibining Mia, I really loved this episode. They introduced Carmela very well, and Heaven's acting was excellent. When I watched her, all I could see was Carmela. Great job, Binibini! I also loved how they opened the episode with that scene (iykyk). The library/storage scene is so great. It was exactly how it was written in the novel, and I got goosebumps while watching it. Overall, the episode closely followed the novel, and I’m so thankful for that. I feel completely assured that they will stay faithful to the novel that Inay Mia created. The cinematography was good, but I didn’t like the editing, which is why I’m giving it 7 out of 10 stars. After the opening scene, there was a one-minute montage of the Arch of Centuries, which I found unnecessary. Then, in every scene set in the school, they kept showing the arch for a long time. That became a bit annoying for me. It felt like the Arch of Centuries was overused. I also didn’t like how they zoomed in on unnecessary things for too long before transitioning to the next scene. I hope the editing improves in the next episode.I'm really excited for Episode 2!
