Yeah, I didn’t like that. Ing specifically said he only does things with willing participants. He values consent,…
literally they made it worse with this writing... i talked about it in another comment, but wtf i felt like they did this scene so wrong and they didn't give it full package 🥲 that make me angry, especially Ing's reaction.

I JUST FINISHED EPISODE 4, AND I'M SORRY, BUT WHY DID THEY HANDLE THAT SCENE LIKE THAT???
Because shouldn't Ing be ANGRY??? Like, am I missing something here? They made it seem like they're even now, as if what happened between them was just some silly little misunderstanding that they could laugh off the next morning. Yok literally SA'd Ing, and then the next day, everything was suddenly okay? WHY ARE WE TREATING THIS LIKE A COMEDY SCENE???
I genuinely expected Ing to be much angrier. I wanted to see him react more seriously to what happened instead of brushing it off like that. The way they handled his reaction actually made ME angry on his behalf.

Now, don't get me wrong. I understand why Yok went to see Ing the next morning and brought him medicine. Deep down, I do think Yok has a kind side to him, and I can understand that he was angry, drunk, and probably didn't fully intend for things to go that far. I also know Ing pushed him really hard that night. BUT THAT DOESN'T MAKE WHAT YOK DID OKAY, AND IT CERTAINLY DOESN'T MEAN THEY'RE SUDDENLY EVEN. Two wrongs don't cancel each other out!

And the funniest part? Yok is so blinded by Itt right now that he doesn't even realize what's happening to him. BRO, JUST WAIT UNTIL YOU FIGURE OUT WHO YOU'RE ACTUALLY IN LOVE WITH. THE IRONY IS GOING TO BE INSANE. 💀

But seriously, I wish the series had handled Ing's reaction differently because I feel like that scene deserved more emotional weight. I wanted to understand what was going through his head instead of watching the whole thing turn into a comedic moment. Am I the only one who feels this way, or did anyone else find the way they handled it a little frustrating?
ANYWAY, LET ME TALK ABOUT THE ACTING BECAUSE THESE PEOPLE ARE INSANE.
I've genuinely never felt this hooked on a Thai series before. And coming from someone who studied theatre criticism, I usually can't watch anything without analyzing EVERYTHING: the performances, the directing, the character choices, the pacing... I always end up finding things that bother me or that I wish had been done differently.

BUT THIS SERIES???? BROOOOO.

The acting is SO GOOD. They don't just play their characters; they BECOME them. Their expressions, their delivery, the way they carry themselves in each scene... I'm genuinely impressed. They wear these roles like a second skin, and I never find myself thinking, "That's an actor trying to portray a character." I'm just watching Ing and Yok.

I still have some questions about the writing choices, especially after this episode, but the performances have me COMPLETELY INVESTED. I NEED THE NEXT EPISODE NOW.
So, what did you guys think of episode 4? Do you think Ing's reaction made sense for his character, or should the writers have taken that scene more seriously? Because I NEED to discuss this with someone.

I'm confused was that actually a rape? Ing also wanted to have sex but he became bottom instead of top. And comedic…
if im remembering correctly, he literally rapped him in the novel and twice, but here they made it like he wanted it or idk, I'm confused too!! but it definitely rap, because Ing told him to stop and he didn't stop.

Title Fool in Love Spoiler
I read the manhwa and the novel a while ago, so correct me if I'm remembering things wrong, but didn't Ing's scene with Yok happen differently in the original? The scene itself was there, but I don't remember Ing going all the way with Yok and SA him. So why did they change it in the series and make Ing force himself on Yok when he's already drunk?
I'm genuinely curious about the reason behind this change. Are they trying to make Yok's later actions seem more justifiable by showing Ing crossing that line first? Because, if I remember correctly, Yok also forces himself on Ing while he's intoxicated and 🍇 him , out of anger because Itt is hurting and blaming Ing for it. And the whole situation is rooted in what seems like a relatively minor misunderstanding and i think he did it twice right??
Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending Ing's actions, and being drunk doesn't make it okay to violate someone's consent. But the same standard should apply to Yok, too. One person's wrongdoing doesn't justify the other's.
I feel like people might end up seeing Ing as the more toxic one because of how the series portrays him, but trust me, if the story follows the original, Yok and Itt are going to test everyone's patience.
Those two are going to make your blood BOIL in the upcoming episodes.
I'm really interested in seeing how the series handles these characters and whether these changes will affect how viewers perceive them. Because there's a LOT to unpack here, and I don't think everything is as straightforward as it might seem right now!!
LMAOOO LET ME GO WATCH EP 4 FIRST, AND I'LL COME BACK SO I CAN DISCUSS THIS PROPERLY 😭😂

Ing is used to get what he wants, even if it burns him and others. He's also used to "use" people, like…
NOOO, YOU'RE NOT READING TOO MUCH INTO IT AT ALL, BECAUSE I GENUINELY FEEL THE SAME WAY!! He's so lonely, and beneath that confident, cynical attitude, I really think he's just a man who wants to be loved. And the saddest part is that his desire to be loved is probably going to be the very thing that destroys him. I've felt sorry for him since EPISODE ONE, ISTG. I just want someone to love this man properly for once!!
BTW, WE SHOULD DEFINITELY DISCUSS THIS MORE because I genuinely love your POV, and I feel like we could have some really interesting conversations about Ing and his character!!

Lmao how dare you compare Phuwin’s acting ‘skills’ to Bank. Bank is MILES ahead, it’s literally incomparable
Girl, we're just discussing here, don't be mad. I'm talking about Phuwin with more improvement and experience, like years from now! I genuinely believe he can reach that level because he's clearly trying so hard to improve, and I can see his potential.
And I've ALWAYS said that Bank is a top-tier actor. I'm not questioning his talent for even a second. He absolutely NAILED Ing's character, and honestly, at this point, I can't imagine anyone else playing Ing. He's made the character his own, and I don't think anyone could replace him in my mind now.

Ing is used to get what he wants, even if it burns him and others. He's also used to "use" people, like…
OMG, THE WAY YOU DESCRIBED HIS LONELINESS BEHIND THAT CONFIDENT ATTITUDE. I think that's exactly what makes Ing so interesting to me! He knows how to get what he wants, and he doesn't seem to care much about the consequences, even when he's hurting himself in the process. But I can't help feeling that there's a difference between someone who genuinely doesn't care about getting hurt and someone who's simply gotten so used to it that it doesn't scare them anymore. And Ing gives me the latter impression
And YES, the scene with the investors!! He's willing to put himself through so much just to get what he wants, and the way he reacts to Yok's violence makes me wonder how much of that is connected to the way he sees himself. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but I feel like there's a lot more going on beneath that cynical, confident exterior.
What breaks my heart is that he seems so desperate to be chosen by Yok, even though he acts like someone who doesn't need anyone. And that's why I'm so worried about him. I can't say anything about what might happen without spoiling things, but let's just say I'm NOT emotionally prepared for this man

Bank is doing such an incredible job making me want to understand Ing, even when I know he's far from perfect.

I'm NOT going to spoil the novel or manhwua for anyone, but can we talk about Ing for a second?

From these three episodes, I feel like Yok is already so blinded by his feelings for Itt that he can't even see things clearly anymore. I don't even know if I'd call what he feels for Itt love, but there's definitely something there that's making him act like such a fool, just like Ing named him. LMAOOO

But Ing???? MY BABY ING????? 💔 I don't care if he's a red flag; I genuinely believe there's a good man hiding behind all those red flags. The way I see it, he's been falling for Yok since the very beginning, and all he really wants is to be loved by him. Maybe his way of pursuing Yok is a little too much sometimes, but even in just three episodes, I can already feel how badly he wants Yok to choose him.

And THAT'S what scares me. Because when someone wants to be loved that badly, you just KNOW things are going to get painful 🥲

Bank is doing such an incredible job portraying Ing, too. There's something about the way he plays him that makes me want to understand him rather than simply judge him. I know Ing isn't perfect, and I'm not pretending his red flags don't exist, but I can't help feeling that there's so much more to him than what people might see at first glance.

I'M NOT READY FOR THIS MAN TO SUFFER. PLEASE 🥲
Btw Am I the only one who's already this attached to Ing, or are you guys feeling the same way? Because I need to know whether we're all about to suffer together 💀

CAN I GIVE A SERIES A 10/10 AFTER ONLY THREE EPISODES??? BECAUSE FOOL IN LOVE IS MAKING ME QUESTION EVERYTHING.

First of all, BANK????? THAT MAN IS A TOP TIER ACTOR. I genuinely don't understand how someone can be THAT good. And I don't know if anyone else sees it, but he reminds me SO MUCH of Phuwin when it comes to acting. Like, Bank is the dad, Phuwin is his son, and Phuwin inherited his acting genes. I'M SORRY, BUT I SEE IT. 💀 They're not necessarily alike in terms of appearance or physical features, but there's something about the way they act, their expressions, and the way they deliver their scenes that gives me the same feeling.

The biggest difference is that Bank has had more experience and has worked on numerous Thai series (Lakorn), whereas Phuwin is still building his career. But honestly? I can genuinely see Phuwin becoming just as successful and respected as Bank in the future. That man has SO MUCH potential.

NOW, BACK TO FOOL IN LOVE BECAUSE I NEED TO TALK ABOUT THIS SERIES. 😭

THE ACTING. THE STORY. THE DIRECTING. THE EXECUTION. EVERYTHING IS JUST WORKING.

And COPTER????? BRO, YOU ABSOLUTELY ATE. If I'm not mistaken, this is only his second project and his first time playing a main character, and HE'S DELIVERING LIKE THIS????? THREE EPISODES IN AND I'M ALREADY THIS INVESTED. I genuinely didn't expect him to impress me this much, but he proved himself, and I'm SO happy to see it.

What makes this even crazier is that it's not just the leads carrying the series. Even the supporting cast is doing an amazing job. Every character feels like they belong there, and the acting doesn't take me out of the story for even a second. You know when you're watching something and you can actually FEEL the effort that went into making it good? That's exactly how I feel here.

I've dropped SO MANY series this year because something was always missing. Sometimes the story wasn't engaging, sometimes the acting didn't convince me, and sometimes the directing just couldn't bring everything together. I kept waiting for a series that would make me excited to watch every new episode instead of forcing myself to continue.

AND THEN FOOL IN LOVE CAME ALONG WITH ONLY THREE EPISODES AND STARTED CHALLENGING MY ENTIRE RANKING 🥲

Before this, Ticket to Heaven was my BL series of the year, with Sammy's Children's Day in second place. I genuinely thought my top spots were pretty much settled. But apparently, I spoke too soon. 💀

Because if Fool in Love keeps this up, we might have a NEW NUMBER ONE. And imagine changing your entire ranking based on THREE EPISODES. THREE 🤦‍♀️

MY CURRENT BL RANKING OF THE YEAR (the list may change ):

🥇 Fool in Love
🥈 Ticket to Heaven
🥉 Sammy's Children's Day
4. Payback
5. Deep in

And yes, I KNOW Fool in Love has only released three episodes. That's precisely why I'm both impressed and terrified of how good this series could become if it maintains this level of quality.

Now, I NEED TO KNOW:

1. Am I being dramatic for considering Fool in Love my BL of the year after only three episodes, or are you seeing the vision too? 👀

2. Does anyone else see the Bank–Phuwin acting resemblance, or am I the only one who's made this connection? Because I NEED to know if someone understands what I mean.

3. What's YOUR BL of the year so far? And please, tell me WHY. I want actual discussions, not just titles!

4. Most importantly, which series do you think could dethrone Fool in Love if it keeps this up?

Let's talk, because I refuse to believe I'm the only one losing my mind over this series 💀💀

God, Van is such a crazy man!! He’s definitely my favorite character in episode 1. He’s so hilarious, I literally couldn’t stop laughing every time he appeared. Especially when he said “I love you too” OMG, that part absolutely got me :v
Episode 1 was SO funny! I genuinely didn’t feel bored for even a second while watching it, and that’s honestly a huge win for me. So yeah, people, I highly recommend this series already!!! Go watch it!! 🖤

Same, everything you said. I literally bumped my rating up to a 10 immediately after this episode, in the heat…
God!! Same here! After watching Episode 17, I immediately changed my rating to a 10/10 and even wrote a review. I've never done that for any series or drama before, even though I've been watching dramas for years. It never even crossed my mind to do something like that, but this drama literally made me. Especially after this episode it was just so good. I can't stop praising it, and I'm sure it'll stay this good until the end.
I'm just waiting for Cen Ye to show up in their town so Chen Yi can finally meet him. He's going to be so jealous! 😂 And when they realize they've been protecting each other without even knowing it... I seriously can't wait!!!!
