What I have just watched? I am literally blown away, it was fantastic and even better than my expectations! The acting was superb and the production was such high-level. I'll definitely watch this again and again. A golden day for japanese bl adaptations 💯💯
The best point was acting, it was perfect nearly for all the actors. I found Atlantis people a bit cheesy as villains and I couldn’t get to like Iiyama until the very end, idk know why but he got on my nerves everytime he spoke haha But it was such a sincere and lovely story, I always like how j-doramas tell this warm stories of all kind of businesses. This time the excitement of sport and the hardworking life of a bunch of lovely people came together. It was such a joy to watch, I got frustrated too many times by the challenges they face nearly in each ep but it was still satisfying to see how they overcame them. I came for Takeuchi Ryoma and stayed for all Kohazeya people, definitely recommended!!
It's so strange that I can't seem to find any review, comments or edits on this drama. I was thinking, even the poster looks very good and people were probably watching the drama extensively, it was only me not checking them because normally I'd wait for the hype to be subsided before I start watching it. I wanted to read and see the reactions of others first. The actors are famous and it has an interesting story revolving around a theater but it seems like people weren't really interested in it?
I ugly cried during almost the whole of ep 8. It was the most beautiful ep of the series so far. I will miss this series so much when I finish it ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
It was refreshing to see such an interesting story. I really liked how they managed to include that many different lifestyle examples. Even the guest/side characters had interesting stories. Ko Nak Jun was such a nice character from the start til the end. I am happy I could finally watch a drama of Son Sok-ku! I didn't like Som-i much but other than her, Pastor, Young Ae and Center director were really nice to watch. And of course, Kim Hye Ja was the star, I cried watching the end credits in the final episode. Such a great actress, her message at the end was so so touching...
Extraordinary Watcher You: Most popular dramas bore you to death, so you often go off the beaten path to find the hidden gems no one knows about. Your Watched list is full of titles with less than 500 watchers on MDL. You know your taste is different than others, and you have peace with that. Drama watching is a personal experience, who cares about the popular opinions?
I really liked how you included the classical music piece that was the most outstanding one for each work. My fav is definitely Nodame Cantabile, certainly the Japanese adaptation hits differently. I first watched the drama adaptation before the anime but both were quite fantastic for me! Like you said, the way they included that many different music pieces deserves praise. And omg Secret! That piano battle was something else. I remember I listened to it for a very long while after I watched it. Beethoven virus was my first Korean drama that was related to classical music. Such an intense and good work. I really like the character development in the drama. Thanks a lot for your post! I greatly enjoy listening classical music and it is always nice to see some dramas with it.
there's a fansub for this onescroll down for a bit and there's the "special clip"raw and softsubhttps://isaksbestpillow.tumblr.com/post/739867009782824960/ossans-love-returns-episode-1-eng-sub
Bless you for this! I wasn't hopeful finding this subbed, thanks a lot!
I get what you mean. I'm sure we'll learn more in the 2nd season. until then I'm happy to believe that the fact…
Ohh, this adds very much. Thank you for this detail. I agree, it helps a lot when you get to see her real reactions or feelings in the manga. I experienced this with several live action adaptations as well, sometimes it may get confusing to understand a character's deepness when you observe it from just one angle. I heard only good things about the manga, I will definitely check it out too!

Thanks for understanding my point. I am also hopeful for the 2nd season, I think we will get to see Kasuga get more expressive with her feelings since she will start feeling more confortable around Nomoto - which we already saw the glimpses in the latest episodes.
Utterly shocked by the news. I constantly hoped he would get through this investigation without any negative results... He even got cleared by tests... Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the news. He was my all-time favorite Korean actor, I was in love with his voice, his kind character... I believe his roles felt that real due to his real kind personality. He will forever stay as my ahjusshi, I hope he will get rest there, far away from all this nonsense
The idea was cute but there was really no chemistry between the leads. I am generally not very fond of cliche romantic dramas, especially hetero-romanticism, which doesn't make me enjoy romance anymore so I wanted to watch a slight romance or slow-burn romance between two females. Yet there was no progress, I am not talking about the lack of any love-confess scene, even their friendship didn't seem real to me... Kasuga character was always so distant that I didn't even feel her affection towards Nomoto. I was quite hopeful for this drama maybe that's the reason for my frustration but I feel my time was wasted, unfortunately...
