there's a scene where his fox tail and limb were cut off, you can tell he must’ve been tortured nearly to death. I think someone powerful stepped in at the last moment, maybe a deity or ancient immortal and saved what was left of him. but his body was too broken, so they placed his soul inside that little fox doll to keep him alive so that doll must be carrying part of his spirit.
and then after he was separated from LWY, they lost their memory and, i think that old man we saw in the reuters keep him, at some point, he gained the dragon god’s power, but it was too much, so he sealed it with the ring, we even saw him mixing a fox and dragon god form, it must be his 2 personalities clashing together, as for his human form as man² and elf, i think those are just illusions or dreams created by evil queen jiuying, a post i saw on xhs said that she likes to manipulates everything

i don't think manzhu arc is real, it feels more like something happening within a dream, an illusion or imagination. It's so different from the rest of the story. The characters seem more human, more fragile, almost like they're trapped in a version of themselves shaped by longing or regret rather than reality.

i think that doll actually carries JL's spirit and he was originally a fox. I remember a reuters where his fox tail was cut off and he was suffering alongside LWY as they hug each other for comfort. it’s pretty rare to see a fl using a hammer as weapon tbh. and fyi it's not just a hmmer. it's a sledgehammer! most of the time, we only see the leads with swords, fans, whip or bow and arrow, a hammer feels so refreshing, it really breaks away from the typical graceful or elegant fighting style and shows a tougher, more powerful side of the character. im excited to see jjy figtting scene with a hammer!
