The falls flat when it comes to its main leads, Fugui and Qintong. The show constantly sidelines their story in favor of endless subplots,especially the fox prince and general’s daughter arc that drags on for far too long. Instead of building the emotional connection and romantic tension between the leads, the writers give us only tiny snippets of them at the end of each episode, leaving us with no real development or payoff!!!!!The pacing is uneven, the chemistry wasted, and the central romance feels forgotten🥲. What was supposed to be a heartfelt fantasy love story ends up feeling like a series of distractions where the leads are treated like background characters in their own show!!!!
