Outdated Storytelling in a Modern Era
Boys in Love started with promise, featuring a good-looking cast and a light college romance vibe, but quickly lost momentum. Despite attractive actors, the storyline lacked depth, romance, and emotional connection. The plot felt outdated, more like a 2016-style BL with weak character development, no real academic or relationship focus, and minimal romantic tension. The pacing dragged, the emotional buildup was absent, and the ending was rushed and unsatisfying. At first, the story felt too sad for me, and after watching the first episode, I almost gave up because it felt depressing. But after checking some reviews, I decided to continue—and I never expected it to have such a beautiful happy ending. It completely changed how I felt about the whole journey.
