Personally i like such ml kinda sick of doormats simp who likes the fl for no damn reason since ep 1 . It's like the purpose of their existence is just for fl they dont have a life of themselves. So sick of suck dramas . Like atlesst give us a valid reason as to why you love the girl, in stories especially the leads had a past together but 10 yrs later the girl has moved on and has a finance or a bf but for some reason they break up and our ml is waiting like a doormats for 10+ yeras for no reason at all and suddenly wheh he hears the fl is single both get together like wtf. Writers are trying their best fo write a ml with no flaws at all like a green forest but realistically such men dont exist and absolutely ridiculous . They are giving the audience a false hope or some shit which is nkt right. Anyways so yeah i prefer my ml that has a personality and life of his own not just who exist for the sake of fl and vice versa

Maybe she reminds him of his mother or maybe the fact that her perspective about life which majority people take granted for is different. Even though she has a terminal illness but she is trying her best to live her short life to the fullest maybe this is why she is so unique and special to him which made him fall in love with her
