Honestly, I don’t really understand all the negativity around this drama. If I relied only on MDL ratings these days, I probably wouldn’t even start watching half of the shows I end up enjoying. I prefer to judge things on my own instead of being influenced by comments, because a lot of the time it just feels like people jump on a bandwagon.
Personally, I really enjoyed this drama. The suspense was actually well done , up until episode 11, I genuinely couldn’t tell who the culprit was because almost everyone felt suspicious at some point. So I don’t really get the “predictable” criticism, when the whole point was that the story kept shifting your doubts from one character to another.
Of course, this drama is not perfect because no drama is perfect, to be honest. The final episode might have felt a bit underwhelming for some, but overall the drama was still very solid and engaging. It’s not flawless, but it definitely doesn’t deserve the kind of harsh reactions it’s getting.
Also, Park Minyoung did a great job here. She’s been taking on very different roles across genres recently, and I think that deserves more appreciation. This kind of restrained and subtle acting isn’t always easy, and it fit the character well.
At the end of the day, I really think people should watch and decide for themselves instead of relying too much on MDL ratings, which have honestly been quite unreliable lately. Sometimes it feels like certain dramas attract unnecessary negativity, and that affects the overall perception more than the actual quality of the show.
For me, this was definitely an enjoyable watch and easily something I’d rate higher than what it currently has.
