This story is so beautiful, with its perfect story line and acting. The layers of the plot unveiled smoothly, and all of them are important.Despite not many physical skinship and kissing scene, the yearning between the two main lead is romantic and even make the viewer feel shy, that's what chemistry all about.
After legend of zhang hai and The glory, i find this so good

great actors with subpar plot
I really had a hard time to finish the series, dropped it twice before able to complete it in the span of 1 month with the video speed up to 1.5x speed. It started great with well explaination of what happen in the future and how they were back in the past. However the plot started to be draggy and lengthy with too much unccessary misunderstanding between the 2 leads.The acting of all actors are great but still unable to revive the plot and the characters arc development were poorly developed. At the end of the series, the SML have more airtime compare to the ML as if Zhang lihe is the SML. I drop it twice before able to finish it.

Fun drama with great casting
It's a fun drama to watch with great casting and cute little boy.Cinematography is okay, the acting by main characters and supporting characters are great as well. However some of the plot were quiet weak in the sense of not making any sense, for example the moment su tian's brother knew who min hui was and started blaming min hui for his sister death based on what other "witnessed" said. It's too childish and weak for me. But overall story able to compensate with the small loophole.

A light hearted but perfect series
If I were to describe it in 2 words - Sweet and perfectIf you need to take a break from all the nasty court drama or revenge plot, this series might be the best for you.
The ML is a walking green forest and the FL is playful lady at first but the characters arc are very well developed. The plot is fast paced even though it doesn't have the extravaganza scheming plot, revenge or war scene however still have it's own angst and tension mixed with the romantic plot quite well.

A solid drama and performance
A solid 10 out of 10 !just recently watched it, the thing i regretted the most was watching it so late. this drama so good, the plot, the characters arc, the ost, the cinematography are very well executed. Both Yangyang and dilraba really potrayed the character well, the animated game scene is great as well. No unnecessary lengthy plot, no lengthy misunderstanding. I enjoyed the drama and never skip a scene.

The best 1st quarter historical drama 2025
In my opinion this is one the best historical c-drama for the 1st quarter of 2025, I enjoyed every single episode of the drama, the main plot and sub-plot were very well written.A perfectly pace drama with only small amount of loophole. The costume and cinematography is one of the best accompanied by great OST.
The character arc for main characters portrayed really well by both actors. The FL is a strong will powered lady able to outsmart most of the people and the introduction of ML Duke Su during 1st episode was epic and one of the coolest entrance of male character other than Ling Buyi. Their chemistry are great, I cant even tell the age gap between the actors were huge.

The downfall of high rating
Utter disappointment, the story line was soo cringe to the extend of I cant bear of not dropping this drama, ridiculos plot, no chemistry between the lead (however plenty of kiss scene). The plot was so haywire and out of place, and the female lead character so annoying ridiculous with the sound effect.Was this review helpful to you?
