I dropped this at ep 27. It started really well but there were many moments i was confused cause actions didn’t…
The plot twists begin to unfold in episodes 26 and 27, and from that point onward, the story and action start to make much more sense. However, the most compelling moment comes in episode 39 at 33:27, where what the SML says fully explains everything to the audience and sheds light on why his acting had been portrayed that way throughout the series. I may be biased, as this is one of my top favorite dramas of 2025. Still, if you’re considering giving the drama another chance, I would recommend watching the episodes I mentioned. That said, I completely respect differing opinions everyone has their own preferences and limits.
The mother is basically trying to set them up without even realizing it. She keeps reminding her daughter(FL) that the ML isn’t her real brother, and meanwhile he kept calling to reach the FL after he moved to Thailand but the mother told him to stop contacting her.
If they had kept in touch, they probably would’ve maintained a normal step-sibling relationship. But that forced separation created trauma for the FL and now that she’s an adult, those feelings have shifted into something more romantic. After everything the ML has been through, I completely understand why she wants to stay and help him. I came across this series on the iQIYI app while looking for something to watch.
After four episodes, I’ve decided to move on to another drama. While it’s well-made, it hasn’t quite held my attention.
But I have to compliment the actors, especially the ML he delivered a phenomenal performance, perfectly portraying loneliness and the pain of not being wanted, while also seeing the FL as someone pure and beloved. The FL’s acting is strong as well, conveying her emotions convincingly.
Daisy (Tracy) is a great actress. I watched her in provoke and didn’t even recognize her here. Hope she gets…
Yes! I wish her a successful career, which she truly deserves. Her acting range is impressive, and she clearly has the potential to achieve even greater success in the C-entertainment industry.
Got far more than I expected from this suspense drama. The blend of mystery and psychological elements was exceptionally well executed, and I’m completely satisfied with the result. I’ll definitely be following this writer’s future works, if they create another modern drama in the same genre, I’ll be watching ❤️
A perfect drama the kind that keeps you guessing until the very final moment. Tracy is such a lovely character, and I’m genuinely happy with the her storyline. The entire cast delivers amazing performances, but Wang Duo deserves more recognition his acting in the final two episodes is phenomenal. I also loved the contrast between ep15 and 16 was completely unexpected. Overall, this is an engaging and beautifully made series. Highly recommended. 10/10
Jet is such a delightful character! Even behind the scenes, the actor First is always so cute, full of energy, and works hard to make every scene perfect. ❤️
Totally recommend this drama ❤️ Everything needed to make it good is here! The production team deserves a raise 🙌
I also recommend watching the behind the scenes special clip on iQIYI it’s about 20 minutes long. The production quality is higher than I expected, and the amount of detail they put in is unbelievable. There’s also a segment where the actors share their experiences and opinions it’s amazing!
FL and ML love and stay loyal to each other from start to finish. SML has a one sided love that FL never returns.…
Yes! His role is really important more like a ML. The story revolves around the three of them(ML,FL,SML). It’s not just a love story but also about how the plot develops.
It’s heavier and more story focused than a typical Xianxia, and I find it really special.
And don’t worry, the ML and FL have beautiful, strong chemistry.❤️
Enjoy watching if you decide to, or the dramas you’re watching now!
How heavy is the love triangle here. From reading all the comments here i am worried.
FL and ML love and stay loyal to each other from start to finish. SML has a one sided love that FL never returns. The story is complex ,you’ll understand why later. If you love Xianxia dramas, I highly recommend this 😁❤️ it’s so much fun, but definitely complex!🤭
What Fate said in ep39 at 33:27 made me rethink every single thought I had about his character. I’m really impressed by how this story unfolds you never truly figure out what’s happening until it’s revealed 🤣. I love how the story keeps you thinking and fully engaged. 👏
Rewatching this drama feels like a reward ❤️. I keep noticing things I missed or forgot, and I’m constantly surprised! It has the best elements I love, but I can’t even talk about them without spoilers, lol. The story is way deeper than the first part shows full of plot twists and intense moments. What a ride! 👏
The original creator and writer, Sui Yu Er An, deserves a raise! The storyline is so complex, yet it’s written beautifully.
The main leads get a happy ending and end up together ❤️. That part felt a little rushed, but I’m not complaining…
Your point of view is really interesting. The comments from PhantomzK and Limi share a similar theory to yours. Wait, we don’t actually see him at the end, just his back, so it could imply as you said that he lived, but we’re not entirely sure. It was an excellent drama, and I’d love to believe he also existed in the new timeline ❤️

The main leads get a happy ending and end up together ❤️. That part felt a little rushed, but I’m not complaining since I honestly thought it would end sadly. Meanwhile, Shen Cheng’s storyline has a bittersweet ending, which makes the drama feel even more layered and emotional. I really recommend watching this drama it turned out to be unexpectedly good!
As someone who really appreciates dramas with fewer than 18 episodes, this one exceeded my expectations. What a beautifully made drama! I love that China is now producing more high quality series with shorter episode counts unlike the usual 30+ episode format, which isn’t bad, but something like Twelve Letters is just perfect❤️👏. Great actors, a solid story, and a director who clearly knew what they were doing.
If you’re curious about the ending, here’s a small spoiler
One of the strengths of this drama is its pacing. Although it’s only 12 episodes long, with each episode running between 45 to 58 minutes👏, it never feels rushed. Unlike many mini dramas that limit episodes to around 30 minutes or less, this series takes the time to develop its story and characters in a meaningful way. The writing is strong, the storyline is clear,so far has been excellent. With 8 episodes released and each one consistently engaging, I can’t wait for the final 4 episode ❤️
